After the unbridled success that was "Volkwein", Super Flu's collaboration with The Dortmund Philharmonic, the always on point Monberry label now revisits the package with the help of some fine contemporary remixers, namely Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Monkey Safari and Bebetta.

Super Flu, aka Herzblut Recordings regulars and German pair Felix Thielemann & Mathias Schwarz, really conjured up some magic with the original so these remixes, which reinterpret in fine style, are more than welcome.

First up are Kollektiv Turmstrasse, a rare act that infuse their sound with something more - extra soul, depth and meaning. On their remix of the title track, they go for a trademark deep, brooding and slowly unfolding vibe with subtle synth modulations, buried drums and a rising sense of tension.

The curious and off kilter German duo Monkey Safari are up next. First they rework 'Bratzke' with a sensitive sense of touch. Underlapping, rubbery drums roll below churchy and hymnal chords. Softly spoken vocals add intimacy and you can see this one really making for quite a moment on the right dance floor. Secondly, they serve up a digital bonus remix of the same track that makes less use of the vocal and places plenty of emphasis on their lush arrangement and true sense of musicality.

Lastly we have Bebetta, a playful producer who infuses her music with charming melody and a real sense of personality. She has also recently won the Tresor Newcomer Award for her impressive DJ sets around Berlin. Her version of 'Volkwein' is patient and spacious. Glowing harmonically it soothes mind body and soul with playful patterns and clever use of filters.

This EP is an elegant and magical release that proves house music can be so much more than a physical and functional thing, and can instead stir real emotion when in the right hands.

Belgian producer and Tomorrowland resident Yves V is no stranger to Smash The House, having appeared on the label before with collaborations such as ‘Memories Will Fade’ alongside Promiseland, and ‘King Cobra’ with Don Diablo. Now he makes his solo debut on the imprint, with his new track ‘Octagon’.

From the off it’s clear that Yves is made for the Smash The House family, as ‘Octagon’ launches straight into the epitome of high energy electro house. Combining stomping rhythms with roof-raising synths, this one is perfectly crafted to get you in the mood for some serious dancefloor devastation. Building into a proper mainstage anthem, ‘Octagon’ is designed with festivals in mind, and will get plenty of chance to prove its worth at the likes of TomorrowWorld in Atlanta, where Yves is also a resident DJ and is playing the same bill as Smash The House bosses Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who are giving this one plenty of mileage themselves.

‘Octagon’ has been causing a storm over on the isle of Ibiza this Summer at Yves’ appearances at the wild SuperMartXé, not to mention his shows at Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s House Of Madness party at Amensia throughout the season. ‘Octagon’ is out via Beatport on September 14th, so make sure you get your hands on a copy and play it nice and loud.

Original comes to us from Ukraine, as ARYS produces a nice progressive track. Deep basslines, groovy progression and techy sounds make the track a commendable piece of progressive!

Remix for the one is also a progressive producer. It is Alex Tasty who puts his hand at the remix for the Original. The progressive originality is kept true. Alex enhances the track with more quality elements and adds a slight faster pace to the track, making it an even better progressive remix!
