Evosonic Radio was the world's first independent radio station for electronic music, which could be received via cable and satellite from 1997 to 1999. 
Evosonic Radio did not submit to the conventions of format radio, but gave its music editors and DJs a lot of freedom. 
This concept, unique in Germany, won the "German Dance Award" in the "Best Medium" category in January 2000. Chris-Maico Schmidt aka Mike S., who was responsible for the music played most of the time as program director, accepted this award. 15 years later he founded Evosonic Records. Today, as then, Chris-Maico Schmidt makes sure that the label does not submit to any conventions and that his artists have the freedom that is indispensable for the one same goal: high musical quality - then as now.

DJ since 1983, producer since 1990, label owner, man behind Evosonic Radio, German Dance Award Winner 2000!
Releases on Harthouse (Frankfurt, Mannheim, Berlin), BluFin Records, Evosonic Records, City of Drums Records, Holy Chaos Records, Global Ambition, Music Man Belgium, OverDrive, Le Petit Prince, and many more.
No. 1 and No. 2 in the UK Underground Dance Charts, Top Ten in the iTunes and Beatport Charts.
As an instructor at VibrA School of DJing, he taught music production with Ableton and DJing from 2004 to 2018. 
He was resident DJ at OZ-Stuttgart, Cave Club-Salzburg. Co-owner of Delirium Record Shop, Stuttgart. He currently lives in Cologne, Germany.
