Whether with Crazy P, as a remixer or via his RBJ edits series @ron-basejam has been a go to artist for us for many years now. If you are exploring the cooler end of the disco genrem RBJ's output is a perfect starting point. His tracks cover lots of ground from chugging disco, 80's underground, house groove through to Balearic sun laden bliss.

His latest project see's him remix Nottingham based power trio the Attraktors comprising 2 tone veteran John Thompson, Antony Hodgkinson and James Flow of Six By Seven. Referncing everythin g from Depeche Mode to Eno and Human League to Kraftwerk theirs is a thoroughly captivating sound.

Released as a limited vinyl only 10" which also comes with a free download of the Attraktors acclaimed debut album its an inspiring project.

Known without doubt as one of the most important references of the House and Nu-Disco scene, he's the owner of the prestigious record label Spa in Disco, which has published more than 100 titles in digital format, with some of them having reached the number one position on the sales charts, while many others have been repeatedly featured in the Top 100 of the most important digital platforms like Junodownload, Beatport, or Traxsource.

All in all, he's one of those DJs that feels exceptionally comfortable playing the dance floor, that surprises you with his musical selection and, even more importantly, that achieves the golden rule: never stop dancing - which is why we invited him for the 73rd edition of the Blur Podcasts which is now live on our soundcloud and youtube pages.

In the early 90s electronic music grabbed hold of Phonk D. After many nights at clubs in Frankfurt, hundreds of kilograms of collected vinyls, countless DJ-gigs and a remarkable journey into Hip Hop as a producer, the Darmstadt resident founded his label Footjob in 2014. The Footjob sound is somewhere between deep, disco and classic house and finds the approval of well-known scene-heads. Following various releases on Footjob, Phonk D also appears on labels like Salsoul, Glitterbox, Exploited, Nite Grooves, NDYD, Future Disco etc. With his event series „Diggin’ in the Crates“ at the Darmstadt-based Weststadtcafé he follows his passion for pushing tunes appealing to him since he took his first steps into the world of music.

The Dukes have steadily been carving out a very well earned reputation as seriously talented producers over the last few years. It's no surprise really as they comprise Italian producers Walterino and Keller, two producers whose history spans all the way back to the 90's. Between them their pedigree is pretty incredible there have been chart hits with Moody's Dove and Wamdue Project's King of My Castle, a near endless list of original releases and a host of huge name remixes including Masters At Work, Ultra Nate’, Michael Watford, Moby, Donna Summer, Cerrone, Peter Gabriel and Frankie Knuckles. They have already had careers that most producers can only dream off.

On the back of their classy remix of Jestofunk, which has been doing some serious damage over the last couple of months, they have just released a brilliant single 'Always Better' with Double Dee on Midnight Riot which has been tearing up the Traxsource charts. 

I spoke to them in depth about their careers, the scene in Italy and they also put together this brilliant mix for us showcasing a whole load of their recent material. Check out the full interview over on LV online via:

@dj_nebraska is back for his fourth release on @heistrecordings the 'Chant des Oiseaux' EP. A collaboration with BeBelle, they are continuing the rather special working relationship which they showcased last on Nebraska's own Friends & Relations label in 2021.

It's an EP which perfectly showcases Nebraska's sampling prowess and always impressive drum programming skills. It also shows a really playful side to a producer who has been bringing some seriously tasty tunes to our dancefloors for more than two decades now.

To celebrate the release Nebraska has stepped up to the plate for our 35th episode of our Disco selectors series, he's put together something really special for us packed with exclusive Nebraska edits.
