In the 82nd episode of Techno Cartel Podcast we are pleased to host Cosmic Xplorer live from Airsound Records Label Night 

Cosmic Xplorer has been gradually emerging from the Hungarian techno scene in the last few years as his productions has been played in the most recognized dance floors like Awakenings festival, Bassiani, Berghain, Tresor clubs to name a few with the support from Ben Sims, DVS1, Fixon, Ribé & Roll Dann, Rene Wise, Setaoc Mass and many more.

He grew up listening to true school techno pioneers such as Chris Liebing, Speedy J and Jeff Mills - while also appreciating house and progressive - but initially made drum & bass in the late nineties. He became telecoms engineer, living in Australia, Africa, North East Asia and North America before returning to Budapest in 2011. He has performed in various clubs in Hungary such as Aether, D9 Dark Nine, Edith, Fabrika, Sunder, Turbina, etc.. and in international clubs like Ponyhof (Vienna), Rheingold Club (Düsseldorf).In 2021, he launched his own label called “Hypnosis Multiplex” signing talents like A Thousand Details, Dario Sosa, Dorian Knox, Joton, Linear System. 

“This podcast episode is a part of dj-set recorded at Aether Club Budapest, July 2023. In this live recording you will find sounds ranging from driving bangers to bleepy melodies with oversaturated 909 drumkits. Most of the music was released in the last few years, I was not trying to impress the audience with the latest and greatest, but rather put them on very danceable music journey.”

The guy has made available nothing less than a 3-hour DJ set recorded at D-Edge on the memorable night he played after the great Rødhåd.

From student to teacher, from heart to soul. That is the summary of the path that Andre Salata, the DJ, producer and college lecturer from São Paulo, has been taking.

Die-hard fan of techno and its origins, of its simple complexity in constant evolution, he entered the world of musical production through his own connection to the art’s style. He grew in the area and ended up becoming a lecturer of electronic music production in a respected College in São Paulo.

Away from the classroom, Andre has produced an extensive discography. In constant exchange with producers, enthusiasts and students, his influences are constantly renewed and materialized in DJ sets which fill the heart and soul encompassed by the electronic music world. Andre has been gaining prominence launching releases by internationally renowned labels such as Get Physical, Noir and Transmit, as well as bringing his DJ mixes to important clubs in Brazil and around the world such as Watergate Club, Sisyphos, among others.

Cosmic Xplorer, born Daniel Marcel Hevesi, hails from Budapest, Hungary, where his love for electronic music was cultivated during his adolescence years. 
Growing up, he found inspiration in the sounds of true techno pioneers like Chris Liebing, Speedy J, and Jeff Mills. Although he initially delved into drum & bass and ambient music production in the late nineties, 
Cosmic Xplorer has since carved a niche for himself in the underground techno scene.
As a performing artist, Cosmic Xplorer is best known for his hybrid DJ sets that seamlessly blend various techno subgenres. 

His original tracks "Loophole" "Space Run" and his remix of "D.S. - Algorithm Flirt" have garnered acclaim with help of DJs like Rene Wise and DVS1, who frequently played Daniel`s music in prestigious venues like Berghain,
Garage Of The Bass Valley, Gare Porto and RSO clubs. Cosmic Xplorer's music is characterized by its experimental nature, using no templates to create fresh, unheard sounds. 
His work often incorporates sci-fi motifs and industrial textures, evoking moods that range from the paranoid to the transcendent.

Daniel's dedication to pushing boundaries and exploring new sonic territories is evident in his notable projects, including three EP releases on Eduardo De La Calle's Analog Solutions label. 
One of Cosmic Xplorer's most unforgettable performances occurred in 2023, when he shared the stage with Latin American artsist, Pulso and Marcelo Antonio. 
Additionally, he actively contributes to smaller techno collectives both within Hungary and abroad, further solidifying his presence in the global techno community. 
Through his nonconformist approach and commitment to innovation, Cosmic Xplorer continues to leave an indelible mark on the underground techno landscape.
