Blush Recording presents its sixteenth release, Dark Current — a concept EP by Rea K & WM, shaped through a deeply personal artistic vision.

Accompanying the release is an artist statement that reveals the conceptual core of the work:
“Dark Current is more than a technical phenomenon, it’s a metaphor for the world we live in. Inspired by the dark current phenomenon in electronics: a silent force that moves through a system even in the absence of an external trigger, This EP is the sound of an unstable world, the state of constant flux we live, driven by an unstoppable current of technological progress, social shifts, and existential uncertainty. It captures the tension between evolution and distortion, between advancement and the unforeseen consequences it brings. A sonic transmission from the edge of time, where evolution and uncertainty merge in an endless circuit: Waves of distortion collide with pulsing rhythms, acid lines crackle like disrupted signals, and ethereal pads drift through magnetic turbulence.

Dark Current is the hidden energy of the present, the undercurrent of change pulsing beneath our reality. Shadow Surge is the wave of the past, the residual charge of past revolutions still shaping our world. Phantom Voltage is the uncertain future, an unpredictable force waiting to discharge into the unknown.”
