If a broad selection, a surefire technique and immediate adaptability are qualities a DJ needs to command respect, then Mr Savoir Faire owns these three weapons of choice in his musical arsenal. Mr Savoir Faire was introduced to music by his relatives at an early age. Born in a
Haitian family, he grew up in a double musical culture made of hip hop and afro-caribbean grooves.
He discovered DJ PREMIER during his teenage years. This discovery ignited a passion for scratching in Mr Savoir Faire, a craft he started to work on tirelessly. The pleasure of transmitting the
energy of his records to the crowd was an epiphany.
This enthusiasm became a motor that drove him to expand his horizons and took him to New York City in the early 2000s. He quickly got into the hip hop club scene, a vantage point from which he
observed and listened carefully. This immersion made his love for New York hip hop grow even stronger: it defined his personal aesthetic, at the crossroads between the ruggedness of the streets,
the flamboyant nights and the unabashed ambition of conquerors.
However, Mr Savoir Faire’s love for New York hip hop isn’t exclusive. He remains close to other musical styles. From New Jack, smooth R&B, rare Caribbean, Konpa, Kizomba grooves to the most boisterous Dancehall, Mr Savoir Faire’s versatility is one of his trademarks.
After this New York getaway, he decided to raise his flag in Paris, with the intention to keep on sharing his desire for a curious and open-minded approach towards music. He met DJ SKEEZ 101,
with whom he shared a similar sensibility. He became a full-fledged member of the BIG PIMPIN crew, which put him behind the turntables of the most renowned hip hop clubs in Paris. Six Seven, Gibus
Club, Red Light, Magnum, Qin Elysée, Prestige Club, Salon du Louvre, River and Sea, Madness Club, Five Club, Trend, Glazart, Palais M, La Suite, boxing matches at the POPB: all those places are venues Mr Savoir Faire played at. His experience grew beyond the club scene as he became FABABY’s official DJ and toured with him across the country. This knowledge of the stage made him an even better performer.
Year after year, Mr Savoir Faire’s reputation grows from France to Canada and Switzerland. In addition to
his DJ role, he teamed up with DJ MAYRON to launch the GET READY parties in both Paris and Rouen.
Those club nights quickly became a reference in the region for those who like to groove.
After years of experience behind the decks, Mr Savoir Faire knows how to switch from obscure gems to club bangers with fluidity. He recently jumped in the production game, and remains active as a DJ and a party promoter. Each DJ set is a chance for him to give it his all, to celebrate hedonism, seduction and the energy of the true go-getters. Standing tall with multiple experiences under his belt, sharp as a barbershop razor and following a
top-shelf musical taste, Mr Savoir Faire is ready. It’s about time you GET READY too.
