With an aim for versatile, high energy DJ-sets, grittygun's 2022 quickly lined up with Dutch club nights and radio shows, such as Garage Noord, MONO, Grey Space In The Middle, Echobox Radio, Stranded FM, Future Intel, and Malmö-based station Retreat Radio. Working at record store 3345, a place where many different scenes come together through live events and a very varied selection of presented music, Gunnar takes an active role in the local music industry.

In the general context we are all facing right now, we thought it could be helpful to try and stand still for a moment with our emotions and try let them sink in. Today, we welcome mx.pinky into our mixtapes collection and we couldn’t be more honoured to receive a piece so incredibly vulnerable and honest. A deep and fearful feeling we probably all sense strongly at the moment. She sent us some words to go with that mixtapes that we wanted to share with you before you dive into her emotional musical journey: 

“Sadness, anger and grief - emotions felt during the creation of this mix. I’ve struggled to process these feelings - will they ever change? It feels like a recurring state that I’ve learned to lean into, to utilise creatively. I put this mix together in the midst of a depressive episode. Working on it, and on the track “Compromises To Try” with Ruin Klarity, brought me warmth and pushed me, healed me. This mix is an hommage to my love for rock music and dark wave of my youth, mixed with more recent electronic music. Playing it back on a walk, it held me safe and gave me strength to face the streets.”
