Glen Mock founded the Tropical Dreamers in 2010, originally as a father & son acoustic duo with eldest son Shawn Mock. Over the next few years, the acoustic duo grew into a full band. The band debuted their self-titled album, “Glen Mock & The Tropical Dreamers, July 2013. Recorded at John Barbarich’s  Phoenix Rising Recording Studio. Today Glen is actively working again with John Barbarich on a 2nd CD release. Soon to be released 2021

Here, I blend trop rock vibes and beach-themed grooves with the cutting edge of technology - AI-powered music tools. Every one of my songs starts the old-fashioned way - with a spark of human imagination, and ideas for lyrics and melodies, crafted by a real person with stories to tell. AI tools give me the opportunity turn those ideas into fully produced tracks.

I am not in any way here to compete with or replace the great traditional talented and creative musicians who give us the unique sounds we always have and always will love - we admire, respect and support the legends, the songwriters and the live players. 

AI just provides a new kind of sandbox for those of us who don’t have a band, a studio, or a record deal... just a love for music, a good idea and a desire to hear our concepts turned into complete songs.

It’s music for fun, for inspiration, and for everyone. Sit back, imagine yourself soaking up the sun on a beach chair in paradise, and enjoy!

B-Man & mi-Shell, “Key West Nautical Americana” Duo are a husband and wife team who write, produce, perform and sharing their music both nationally and internationally.   In an article by “The Florida Weekly” they stated, “Their chemistry on and off stage looks perfectly natural, just like a proper rock n’ roll couple should, like Sonny and Cher or Johnny and June Cash.  Over the years, B-Man & mi-Shell have played across the country and was given the opportunity to be the opening band at the Jimmy Buffett Tailgate Party in October 2015 when Jimmy made his concert stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  

B-Man & mi-Shell are lovers of many musical styles from many eras and genres and their songwriting reflects these varied influences.  They call their music “Nautical Americana” style music.  Their CD “Key West Bound” actually lived up to their dream of living that Key West life and sharing their music throughout the Keys.  Their song “Sail Away” hit the Radio A1A Trop 40 Charts at #1 in April 2016 and their song “Key West Bound” was adopted by the “Conchfish Nation” as their anthem song when they all head to Key West for their annual reunion.    Since moving to Key West, they continue to perform, write and produce music.  Most recently their song “High on Island Time”, a song featuring Adrienne Z, went #1 on the Radio A1A Trop 40 Charts and their song “Drinkin’ Down in Mexico” went #1 twice (March 2019 and December 2019) on the Tropical Americana Trop 40.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Marshall Chapman has been making records for longer than most of today’s indie rockers have been alive. Songs I Can’t Live Without is her 14th release, her eighth on TallGirl Records.

Recording an album of classics had always been on Chapman’s bucket list. “The songs I write have always been so personal,” Chapman says. “I needed a break. I was getting tired of living myself into a corner, just so I could write myself out.” 

Songs I Can’t Live Without begins with Leonard Cohen’s “Tower of Song,” which Chapman sings for the first time while recording it, and ends with “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,” the first song she remembers singing as a child. In between are classics by Otis Blackwell, Goffin/King, J.J. Cale, Bob Seger, and even Chet Baker. 

Her songs have been recorded by everyone from Emmylou Harris and Joe Cocker to Irma Thomas and Jimmy Buffett. (Click here for a complete list.)

In 2010, Chapman landing her first movie role, playing Gwyneth Paltrow’s road manager in Country Strong. While filming the movie, her musical Good Ol’ Girls (adapted from the fiction of Lee Smith and Jill McCorkle, featuring songs by Matraca Berg and Marshall) opened off-Broadway. That fall, Chapman simultaneously released a book (They Came to Nashville) and CD (Big Lonesome). They Came to Nashville was nominated for the 2011 SIBA Book Award for nonfiction, and the Philadelphia Inquirer named Big Lonesome “Best Country/Roots Album of 2010.”

Of her three rockin’ albums for Epic, the Al Kooper-produced Jaded Virgin was voted Record of the Year (1978) by Stereo Review. Her album, It’s About Time… (Island, 1995), recorded live at the Tennessee State Prison for Women, drew rave reviews from Time, USA Today and the Village Voice.

Marshall’s first book, Goodbye, Little Rock and Roller (St. Martin’s Press) was a SIBA bestseller, 2004 SIBA Book Award finalist, and one of three finalists for the Southern Book Critics Circle Award. The book is now in its third printing.

Her second book, They Came To Nashville (Vanderbilt University Press/Country Music Hall of Fame)is based on interviews with music icons Chapman has known since her 1967  arrival over the last 50years. She asks Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Miranda Lambert and others the same first question: what was your first night in Nashville like? And from then on, each interview is spontaneous, soulful, revealing, and unique.

Marshall is a contributing editor to Garden & Gun and Nashville Arts Magazine. She has also written for The Oxford American, Southern Living, W, Performing Songwriter, and The Bob Edwards Show (Sirius/XM). But music, she says, “is my first and last love.”
