What is 'Serbian Style' and why? Well, let us tell you a short story. A story of small country on Balkan called Serbia. Land of 'rakija', 'cevapcici', 'kafana' and welcoming hosts. But also a home to some of the world's greatest minds, such as Nikola Tesla - inventor of current/electricity, without which, electronic music and psytrance would not exist.

Over the past decade, Serbia has grown many talented psytrance producers who became headliners at some of the finest parties and festivals all around the world. Our label, TesseracTstudio, has also grown and counts more than 180 digital and 30 CD releases over the past 8 years. All this lead to recognition of 'Serbian Style', which was actually first mentioned by people in parties around Brasil and spread by fellow artists from other countries, giving us idea of creating this unique compilation.

We played in the morning after Cosmosis, the weather was windy, dusty and cold...but during our set the conditions changed and it became nicer and nicer....thus reflected in the music.
Unfortunately the first 40 minutes of our set were not recorded thanx to our shitty recording device, but at least we managed to get the recording started at the "perfect" moment...the ceremony was about to begin...hear for yourself! :)

Throughout the mix there are a few glitches which are once again a result of our recording device...however, I think you wil probaly hardly notice any of them. In case you do, please excuse! :)

Enjoy this mix, its the first Back2Back session we "release" and probably not the last. We attached a track video as well which was recorded during our last track....in case you were there, this should bring some nice memories back!

"UK Allstars (Congo Natty meetys Benny Page - Radio Edit)" featuring Tenor Fly, Top Cat, General Levy, Tippa Irie, Sweetie Irie and Daddy Freddy, taken from the album "Jungle Revolution", to be released on Big Dada Recordings, 1 July 2013. 

Congo Natty aka Rebel MC has a career dating back to his early hit with Double Trouble, "Street Tuff," but is probably most respected as one of the pioneers of Jungle - perhaps the first uniquely UK-born bass music. 

"Jungle Revolution" features the whole of the extended Congo Natty family and was mixed with Adrian Sherwood. Clearly showing this Rasta's belief that Jungle is a re-boot of roots reggae for a new century, the record is full of blood and fire, the sternum-buzz of sub-bass, rapid fire drum breaks, sweet hooks, righteous anger and professions of religious fervour. It’s the kind of passionate, committed, raw and spiritual, beautiful record that doesn’t come along every day.  

To celebrate this release, we are streaming the track "UK Allstars," which features a who's who of British soundsystem culture. This is the first time ever that this line up have all appeared on one track together and so also marks a historic coming together of a scene which lies at the roots of so much of what we now take for granted in UK music, from dubstep to grime to drum & bass and beyond.
