RT 009 - Track 01

These tracks were all recorded during a live show in a former sauna. All music is recorded straight from the mixer onto SD card. Main voices come from Make Noise XPO and Mutable Instruments Plaits with some help from Arturia Microfreak and the great Roland TR-8S Drum machine. The orginal file was processed in ableton with slight EQ and compression. Other than that, the music represents, what happened in the sauna :)

Since the early nineties when Angus was gifted a case of potent music on DAT, his life has been all about sharing, playing, living and breathing psychedelic music and art in all its forms.  It is this passion, drawn from a deep playful curiosity for the unknown, that has resulted in his signature sound. 

Paying homage to the history of the genre, yet maintaining a cutting edge current UK Psychedelic vibe, his deep melodies weave an intricate tapestry of sonic interest in this breakthrough album.  Daring arrangements that challenge the norm and bass as big as it gets rumbles beneath acid drenched grooves, oozing with the intensity of a truly passionate artist determined to create something remarkable. 

After a string of highly acclaimed EP releases and collaborations on Nano Records with the likes of Tristan, Pogo, Braincell and many more, Mandala has spent the last two years solidly locked in the studio creating this masterpiece of a debut album. Triton's new EP on BMSS takes us on a hallucinatory trip between dimensions with a tough but playful pair of tracks. "The z-Axis" is a humour-infused psychedelic workout that tells the tale of the Simpsons' adventures in the third dimension. "Wachuma" is inspired by the sacred cactus and its use in ancient tribal ceremonies - it reminds us that we can travel to new dimensions in our consciousness whilst remaining physically in the present one.

This is fast-and-furious and yet forward-thinking rave music that transcends the usual dimensions of psychedelic trance, whilst guaranteeing ultimate dancefloor satisfaction.
