Wandour’s "Serenade" kicks off the Iridescent Serenade EP with a frenetic burst of spring vibes. It’s a buoyant track that sets the tone with classic piano house vibes with a sparkling, crystalline synth motif. There’s an effervescent joy here, something familiar but dressed in new skin. It’s bright, kinetic, and effortlessly fluid. It’s punchy without being heavy and full of euphoric nuances that give it that perfect open air festival vibes. There's a warm lo-fi glow running through the whole song, making it equally perfect for zoning in during a study session or breaking into an impromptu dance under the sun.

Serenade

The shaman's trance into the Otherworlds is called a journey, and sometimes referred to as "magical flight". In my second attempt at mixing my own music, I wanted to try to capture what it can be like to leave all the "noise" of this world behind and "fly" into another one.

I played in a short and simple melody with chords that I totally loved while I was making an organ patch - though it made me sad, too. I couldn't help but turn it into a full track, with a build up in variations as we get to it. The subtle percussive noises remind me of butterflies in flight.
