When out at night in late April and early May in Uppland, a very common call is that of Common Scoters migrating north to the Swedish mountains. Mellow whistles in the night. Nåsten, Uppsala. May 3, 2023.

A recording from last night near my favourite forest pond. The recording starts off with a family of long-tailed tits, then blackbirds and robins take their night baths, and two noisy flocks of canada geese pass by.
