When out at night in late April and early May in Uppland, a very common call is that of Common Scoters migrating north to the Swedish mountains. Mellow whistles in the night. Nåsten, Uppsala. May 3, 2023.

We are lucky to have a pair of Goldeneyes trying to nest in our Tawny Owl nesting box but it is a bit tricky getting inside so the female circles our garden several times before succeeding. Then you can hear the nice sounds the wings make.
