Gaku moved to the U.S. by himself at the age of 18 to study physics and did graduate research in Applied Physics at Harvard University.
While at Harvard, Gaku taught himself AYP (Advanced Yoga Practice), a comprehensive practice of the eight limbs of yoga, and received his RYT-200 in France. In his quest for deeper spiritual exploration, Gaku participated in Shamanic ceremonies in the Peruvian Amazon. Through this experience, he discovered the relationship and potential of sound and spirit, and aspired to become a DJ, a modern-day shaman.
Upon returning to Japan, Gaku began his career as a professional DJ in 2015, while using his academic background to work on a startup business developing quantum computing and machine learning.
After playing at Violetta, Bonobo, Debris, Solfa, Ensof-Tokyo, and many other clubs in Tokyo, Gaku moved to Shonan in 2020.
Since 2021, Gaku has been hosting the Sunset Party "Shonan Balearic," which bring out the best of Shonan's ocean and sunset with cutting-edge Balearic music centered on Organic House and Chillout Music. He is working to spread cutting-edge Balearic music in Japan and to build an original culture from Shonan.

物理学を学ぶため１８歳で単身渡米し、大学院ではハーバード大学において応用物理学の研究を行い、学術論文の執筆を行う。
ハーバード在学中、ヨガの八支則を包括的に実践するAYP (Advanced Yoga Practice)を独学し、フランスにおいてRYT-200を取得。現在もヨガの実践と伝達を行っている。精神世界の探求のため、ペルー・アマゾンのシャーマニズムの儀式に参加。その体験を通して音と精神の関係性と可能性を見出し、現代のシャーマンであるDJを志す。
帰国後は、アカデミックなバックグラウンドを生かし、量子コンピュータと機械学習を開発するスタートアップ事業に携わりながら、2015年よりプロDJとしてのキャリアを開始。
Violetta, Bonobo, Debris, Solfa, Ensof-Tokyoをはじめ、東京の数々のクラブでのプレイを経て、2020年に湘南へ活動拠点を移す。
2021年より、Organic HouseとChillout Musicを中心とした最先端のBalearic Musicで、湘南の海と夕陽をより感動的に演出するSunset Party “Shonan Balearic”を主宰。日本に最先端のダンスミュージックを根付かせ、世界に通じる文化を湘南から広げるべく活動を行なっている。
