Ferric Prophet is the latest and final chapter of Jimmy Noble — Scottish songwriter, producer, and long-time underground musician known in past lives as HuJay Noble, Wayne Paycheck, Astro Simian, and Noble & McQueen.

After decades moving through punk, funk, and experimental rock, Jimmy returns to his roots with Ferric Prophet — a project built on dub, reggae, and heavy groove. It’s music for the head and the heart: raw, spiritual, and alive in the echoes.

A veteran of bands like The Abused, Censored, Trinity, Pure Blind Panic, and Space Monkey Mafia, Jimmy spent years shaping Scotland’s underground sound. Later came the more cinematic, electronic work of HuJay Noble, including Before I Turn Zombie — a YouTube-only release made with longtime collaborator Rick Mono.

Ferric Prophet strips it all back. No gloss, no polish — just bass, space, and truth. Working with the Shivery Dug collective, Jimmy has created a home for collaboration and experimentation, fusing live musicianship with studio sorcery.

The name comes from the elements themselves: ferric for iron and tape, prophet for the voice that still speaks after the noise fades. It’s a project born from survival — from decades of music, struggle, and self-discovery — and it carries the same pulse that started it all.

The Strypes are 4-piece rhythm and blues band hailing from Cavan, Ireland, formed in 2011 by Ross Farrelly (lead vocals/harmonica), Josh McClorey (lead guitar/vocals), Pete O'Hanlon (bass guitar/harmonica) and Evan Walsh (drums).

The group has spent the past 18 months launching their explosive R&B assault on the clubs and festivals of Ireland, the UK and Europe, viciously hammering out a no-nonsense blues repertoire drawing from the songbooks of Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Slim Harpo and more with the passion and venom of British blues groups such as Dr. Feelgood, The Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones and The Animals. 

Having already been met with critical acclaim from greats such as Jeff Beck and Paul Weller and been tipped by NME as the No. 1 new band to watch, it seems things can only get better for The Strypes.
