It reached #1 on both the US Billboard Hot 100 and US Adult Contemporary Charts.  It also was the Grammy song of the year.  Almost every big music star that year covered the song in some way in concert or on their TV show.    I did this Sunfly karaoke track rendition from the KaraFun Community songs at Champions' Sports Bar and Grill in Richmond KY.  When I first started singing at Champions', KaraFun did not have this song available in their collection.  So I sang it acapello. Don't You Want Me (Duet with Amanda at Champions 10-15-2025)

Just a little about myself.  About 12 years ago in April 2010, I sang my first karaoke song in public at Hardee's in Lexington, KY and the song was a Sinatra song "Summer Wind".  I finished the song and waited a couple weeks to come back because I didn't really think I had done well.  So I asked the assistant manager what people said and he told me to keep the microphone close to my mouth.  So I have now done 1583 songs by 506 different singers or groups in those 12 years.  The Pandemic was a very rough time in not being able to see and sing for people.  I tried Facebook, but I don't seem to like their sound quality at times.  Another piece of advice I would have is to listen and work with the people who run the shows.  I have gotten to know some great people who I could talk about for a long time.  People like Tom Martin, Cecil (Dusty) Wilson, Scott Rogers (who created a logo for my music), Erik Davig, Charles Sanders, Billy Judd, and Tom White.  We can all learn a lot from our time in music.
