038: Nikolaj & Nade

Secret: "something that is kept or meant to be kept unknown or unseen by others."

What about a secret?
Ever had one?
Ever stole one?
Ever broke one?
Where does it start and where does it end? 

Do you have a secret? Is it only your own?
Who do you keep it from? Do you have some which you are keeping to yourself? 
Do you rather share it with friends or with strangers?

I remember a story about a secret.
I remember it like it was yesterday. I think it was the only time I said I didn't want to hear the news. Didn't want to know the secret. It happened somewhere underground. In a noisy club all darken up.
"Can I tell you a secret?" 
"No," 
First, you were surprised by my answer.
But then you smiled at me, when I explained: " If you tell me now, it won't be a secret anymore."
And we kept it this way. Until now. 
Here it is. 
Our secret.
I would call it a mystery.

Next up on the TS Series we have Jazz, based in Eora/Sydney Local and one of the brains behind Isolate.

Jazz has a refined style that leans into the deeper & darker side of the Electro. This polished taste has been recognised within our scene, sharing lineups with the likes of Dj Masda, Kolter, M-High, Cristian Sarde.

Jazz has kindly assembled a 1.5-hour amalgamation of tracks she has been loving over the past few months which she believes deserve to be heard.

For the second edition of our podcast series, we welcome one of the closest friends of our party: Bevan. He steps up to the plate with nothing but his heart of gold and record bag full of heat.

Quirky, characterful minimal gives way to shimmering progressive and rolling tech house appropriate for the sweetest of mornings. Punctuated by the odd electro-fied bomb or two!

I (Joe) met Ben when I was in my first year of uni - I went to the very first edition of his party series, Surface, and cold-emailed him with a mix of mine hoping to get a slot playing at a Surface event. We got chatting at one of his next events and immediately hit it off. Since then many special musical moments have been shared!

Ben’s got a serious love for music, a voracious appetite for hunting down tunes and learning the craft, and a curious and open mind toward lots of different scenes and sounds.

It’s always a pleasure to have Ben with us, whether that be behind the booth or on the dancefloor - and we’re very grateful to have his contribution for this episode of the Bobcast.

Bobcast 002: Bevan

Whoann has defined his artistic expression through his many experiences and influences in music. Travels from his homeland in Argentina to the years spent in Barcelona lead him to Berlin where he lived almost a decade. The past few years he is based on Ibiza.  During the Berlin period he has been running Minor Planet Music and producing music as Formas. Being a DJ with an eclectic taste, the effort and love that goes into digging for music on a daily basis is something he is more than passionate about. The flow creates the vibe and the dancefloor creates his flow. Bending through genres, whether it be his love of experimental, downtempo, house, techno, UK tech house or breaks, the true moment is what defines the direction of the experience. His latest project is a series of experimental and ambient music events, Travelling Without Moving.
