Peace and greetings my real name is Jonah Conyers 27 years of age , and my stage name is Jonah Legacy. Born in Kings County hospital in Brooklyn New York.  I been Involved in music since the young age of twelve, but I took a direct interest at the age of 22. I was featured In two hip hop magazines. RudeBoy Magazine acknowledged my innovative and vanguard lyrics to my impactful performances stating that my music spoke for itself. The next magazine was Skilly Magazine were I was interviewed and asked a series of questions. Which could be both found on Google. My music can be located on Soundcloud, Itunes, Tidal, YouTube , Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify and more. For all those platforms just type in my stage name and everything iv done so far will pop up. 

Currently I just finished releasing my single Whateva also released my New Mixtape Not New To This Which can be found on Cdbaby.com or ITunes. I finished the remix For What Eva featuring The Bronx's own Mysonne who had one of the hottest freestyles on Funkmaster flex's show on Hot 97. I also have been getting radio play on Power 105.1 the home of the breakfast club and the Angie Martinez show by Dj Will and the Legendary Dj Clue. The purpose of this bio is to help whoever is interested in working with me, to gain a better understanding of what direction I'm going in. 

Coming up I recognized and looked up to artist like Eminem, Nas ,Big Pun, 2pac, Wu-tang, Lauren Hill and Biggie Smalls. I went on to join the Miliary were I begin to really perfect my craft.When I finished training and came back home I started writing and recording on YouTube. Then I started to go back to the studio.  I performed in Brooklyn in a popular nightclub called Soul 2 Soul. I was also blessed to perform at an MMA event as the halftime entertainment. I was also on the More than Music Show with Danny Love Of DLE Records.  Which can be found on YouTube just type in 'more than music Danny love episode 11'. I then went on to found my own internet radio show to further promote me and my team which Consist of My right hand Marvin Cyrus,Manager Blanco Rob, My Hypeman P.V, Nick, and Jesus. Through that venture I interviewed Dr. Umar Johnson, Reverend Runs Son JoJo Simmons  and more. I discontinued that show to fully put all my time into my music.My very first performance was at the Caroline's Comedy Club at age 16. I also performed at open mic nights in a club called the pyramid off of avenue A in Manhattan. I performed at The Traphouse gentleman's club  in Brooklyn, Caoba Spanish NightClub in Brooklyn, Angels gentleman's club,and then went on to do a major showcase for Coast2Coast going against at least 40 other artist and ended up winning first place winning a spot in Miami Florida to compete for twenty five thousand dollars. My Music get's played in all the major Strip clubs in New York such as Aces, Lust, Cityscapes, And Angels. I have met Dj DonDemarco host of The Smack Battles and JaRules Official Dj and he invited me down to his popular internet radio show Yac Radio and made it happen given a great interview as well as a couple of freestyles. I also was interviewed by Dj Styles on DTF Radio with the lovely host Ms Butters and killed that interview as well. Through Mysonne I was invited down to the Bronx to be interviewed by his right hand man Opressure and His cohost KingBeards On Ruff Ryder Radio which has over 300,000 listeners. It was a great experience none the less. 

In conclusion I am grateful for the gift to create. Not New To This is a direct reflection of my growth. It's me Beka! I am affectionately call Beka or B. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida to two beautiful and loving parents. My mother a librarian and my father a reverent Baptist minster. I grew up singing in the church choir. Singing has always been my first passion throughout my Middle and High School years to present. I have competed in, and won various talent shows in those early days in my home town. I have always dreamed of getting on the big stage.




At age 18 I left home to pursue my dreams in the entertainment industry and immediately was scouted by modeling agencies which put my singing on hold but the music was always my first choice. I was compelled to move to Miami beach where I had the good fortune modeling for some big names in the fashion business such as Betsy Johnson, Lancôme makeup, John Paul Mitchell to name a few. It wasn't long after that I moved to NYC to model for fashion week I got with some major agencies. Modeling with for some big names such as Baby Phat, Tommy Hilfiger, swim wear, Victoria secret, and many others.




 I have done films including the great independent film, the final straw, off Broadway play, playing Eartha Kitt in “More Than A Dream.” Also appeared in top TV shows including, Law and Order and Unfaithful featured on the Oprah Winfrey Network. As a performer, I had major music performances on Stage NYC at Broadway Baby and also performed live at universal studios in LA. I have also traveled the world modeling, Including, LA, London, Paris, Mexico, and Germany to name a few. I have also featured in major magazines such as: Hype Hair, Marie Claire, Today's Women, fashion and photographer's books and modeling catalogs such as JCPenney's. I'm also member of Action against hunger and one.org.




I was chosen for various events by Playboy to model for charity events, and host some Playboy TV. It was so excited when I was chosen to by body painted for Hugh Hefner's   birthday party. It was an honor. It was so exciting and lovely hanging out at the Playboy Mansion with others.




 In late 2013, I met and teamed up with composer/writer and producer Neddy Smith. He took me under his tutelage and taught me how to effectively sing and use various vocal techniques without stressing my voice while vocalizing as a performer on stage or in the recording studio. I've also learned so much about caring and what goes into the life of a vocalist from Neddy my vocal coach during various lessons. He's truly the consummate professional, an awesome person, an educator, a musician and a guiding light for my music career today. 





I do love children and people from around the globe and want to make a difference in the world with my music. My desire is to travel the globe not only as a performer but also to share with others in various nations and diverse cultures the beauty we all share together as a people through music.
