I have a 1920's Thalberg Pianola; it had been doing the rounds in my city for the past 100 years. A lady decided she wanted to give it away and I took it. At about this time I was writing a lot of songs based on the things that I was experiencing and so I started trying to play them using this pianola. Mostly I think that one day I'm going to lose all these Demos I've done and forget everything. Which isn’t always right So, I want to try and keep a record of them for what’s it worth. It is just me and the piano and the ideas that I had at the time so they’re honest like that so, here they are for anyone to listen. 

Wait Awhile

I travel a little for work, sometimes to these far away towns where there isn’t to many people. I feel that it’s strange to be in places you don’t know alone and for me it makes my mind wander. Which isn’t something that I want to happen, so I decided that I wanted to use these places to develop songs and try make something good out of the loneliness of it all. 

The North Stations is a compilation of songs that I made trying to tell the story of where I was and what those towns where to me. So, I began carting my guitar, harmonicas and my recording equipment around with me to these stations and went from there. 

I can say that the conditions I made these songs or any of my music really has not been ideal for recording. Still its apart of what makes the songs connected to me and the outback of Australia. I hope you find enjoyment in them.
