This is a remix of Lissie Rettenwander's full lengh album "Inside", it consists of three tracks taken from it, "Air", "Time" &amp; "Work". It is an harsh interpretation mainly focused on the cynical themes she already provided with "Time" and "Work", I felt the urge to remix all of these tracks together to get my own interpretation out of it and most probably, if I think about it, to achieve a very personal conclusion of the very intensive production procedure of her album "Inside" (I also had the great pleasure to work with her as musical production assistance). &#13;

Though the overall mood of the original tracks is clearly carried by concentration and pleasent silence, my interpretation of these tracks is pretty harsh and straight forward. &#13;

Lissie Rettenwander's musical history has been a long journey, including many stops along the way, as well as numerous twists. Born in Kitzbühel, her career began with the traditional folk music of the Alps. As a child and teenager, she sang and played the zither in the well-known Hausmusik band formed by her family. Later, her path led her to Innsbruck, where she began to compose her own songs on the guitar and to contribute to various band, music and art projects. 
As a solo artist, her main focus is on the experiment and total improvisation. Thus, for instance, she likes to blend analogue effects in with the sound of her zither. Between immense clouds of sound and eerily focused calm, Lissie Rettenwander, with her extraordinary voice, leads us into unknown worlds. The freely improvised pseudo lyrics, meanwhile, play with the illusion of song. Yet, nothing is the way it seems. Lissie Rettenwander's music is unpredictable. Just like the basic themes of her work. The emotions are woven into an elaborate musical Gesamtkunstwerk, the interpretation of which leaves us a lot of freedom. 
For 2013, the Heart of Noise Festival has decided to honour this artist and her music with an album specially commissioned for the occasion. It will be exclusively available on vinyl and online as a digital download during the festival, where the artist will also present her album, on Saturday, June 22, at the Stadtsäle. On May 1st, the first single release will be published as a digital download. 

who are they aimed at, the countless, uncountable stitches, sound stitches, who is lissie rettenwander pointing them at by stitching up, by chaining up her sound space, by weaving it together any which way? who or what is meant to be pinned down or finally pushed towards dissolution? in her world of sounds, she creates simultaneousness and multitude at once, her at times almost childlike playfulness tempts us to hear more, to immerse ourselves in this vast space of vocal and instrumental breaths. a gasping for breath in wild gestures, gentle touches, elementary eruptions, hesitant calls, impetuous attacks ‒ the spectrum of sound events is vast, the dramaturgy admits sound images of the highest intensity and colourfulness. the musical experiment as a resounding-moving performance has its roots in mostly improvised procedures. here lissie rettenwander leaves behind the firm ground of the tried and tested, of familiar harmonies and rhythms, while on the other hand finding surprising structures in ostinato elements of recurring models. electronic manipulations and interventions enable additional developments, and seemingly mechanical sounds form a pulsating and complementing contrast to subtle melodic lines. lissie rettenwander's music unites highly disparate elements and thus creates unity in exuberant imagination. this talent for the extreme brings forth new things, is able to intrigue and draw attention.
