Driven by a vision of presenting warm, intruiging dance music, the vinyl only label has rapidly become one to watch in their debut releases. Moods flirt between the golden era of tech-house and slick breakbeat flavours, meandering through deep moods frothing with groove.

The label ran by DJs and producers Kurley, Roman Coskun, and Marco Man aims towards building a community within its ranks, inviting artists for repeat releases to express the collective vision. An established series of Bandcamp releases captures the emotive vibe of the label, featuring founder Kurley alongside an array of intruiging alias' including a gorgeous EP from 'Raze of Pleasure'. Ben Watt's spoken-word house classic from 2005. The lyrics tell the story of a young woman looking back on a past lover, Mikey, and their days shoplifting. After writing the words, Ben approached the young London MC and singer, Estelle, to narrate them for the recording. The music harks back to the early golden age of house.

The track is offered here as a free download for a limited time to celebrate the release of 'Buzzin' Fly Anthology, Vol 2, 2005-2006' on May 20.

Back in March 2013 Ben Watt announced that his 10 year-old electronic dance label Buzzin' Fly would be closing its doors to new music to enable him to focus on new solo projects. To coincide with the news, the label promised to sign off with a comprehensive series of digital anthologies cataloguing all sixty-nine of the label's acclaimed 12" releases since 2003. Spread across five volumes, released at monthly intervals, each one would capture two years of the label's history.
