A lively improvisation on my Dyno My Piano customized Fender Rhodes

SOLO IMPROVISED PIANO: DynoMyPiano

This track features the Dyno Rhodes w/Volante SOS tape looping in all it's glory.
With abundant filter sweeps and evolving pads from a variety of physical and virtual synths.  Trillian's exceptional Upright bass also features prominently.

EDGEBIENT: Bohemian Gravity

This track is based on a changing meter groove created in Reaktor.  It featurs the Feedback Moog, along with arsenal of physical and virtual synths, with the Dyno Rhodes on the melody.

EDGEBIENT: Wheels Up TIme

Based upon a Reaktor-created groove in 7/4, this track features  the Feedback Moog on the melody, and a driving ostinato Fretless bass part.

Bob Frye is a composer and improvising keyboardist specializing in synthesizers and sound design, exploring the intersection of jazz and electronic music.

He has shared the stage with artists including: Jeff Lorber, Lee Ritenour, Airto & Floria Purim, Larry Carlton, Stephane Grappelli, Jaco Pastorious, and Seawind.

Bob studied jazz improvisation with the great jazz trombonist Jimmy Cheatham, and composition with Roger Reynolds, John Cage, and Pauline Olivieros.

His creative output resides in six distinct bodies of work:  Solo Improvised Piano, Expanded Piano, Edgebient, Long Form Improvisations (as part of the Frye & Harris duo), Querencia Binaural Soundbaths, and with his jazz fusion trio Uzoma.
