The beat first captured his heart in Damascus back in 2002. From humble beginnings spinning tracks in local venues, his passion for music quickly became a lifelong journey. After relocating to Europe, he continued to evolve his sound, bringing with him the energy and soul of his roots.

His sets speak volumes. For him, music isn’t about the fame—it’s about connection, emotion, and letting the rhythm speak for itself.

Now based in Vienna, he continues to share his passion with fresh audiences across Europe.

Bob VanDer, the creative force behind Damascus Underground, hails from Damascus, Syria.

Since 2005, he has been honing his craft as a DJ, producer and composer.

Renowned for his distinctive style, Bob quickly rose to prominence as one of Damascus's top DJs, securing a residency at one of the city's premier electronic nightclubs. His talent soon led him to headline at major venues across Damascus, earning him respect within the local scene.

In 2015, Bob relocated to Europe to further his musical journey. His exceptional skills garnered attention, landing him performances at prominent events such as AirPley Festival for four consecutive years and various gigs across Germany and Europe.

In 2017, Bob launched his own show, Damascus Underground Session, on Frisky Radio, where he serves as both an artist and radio-show host. Over the past eight years, D.U.S has gained global acclaim, featuring renowned artists from every corner of the world and showcasing diverse talents.

Bob's musical odyssey continues, fueled by his passion for music and a drive for international recognition.
