Difficile à classer dans un genre musical, PIGBEARMAN est un groupe aixois qui, depuis 2011, mélange différentes subtilités sonores que l’on retrouve généralement dans le rock, le post rock, le grunge ou encore le noise. Un EP -PIGBEARMAN EP- disponible depuis juin 2014 donne la possibilité d’écouter leurs cinq pistes même si le mieux est de venir les voir jouer en live afin de s’immerger dans leur univers musical.

Directly from the beaches of Guaruja in Brazil, a band formed in 2011 from the beginning in order to play their own music label that has no pre-definition, but flirting with a more grunge / alternative.

Before Fire Butterfly is the melding of the muse-less, Jackie Aylward (Drummer/Singer/Songwriter) and Keeler Grimm (Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter), has brought about a sound that manifests as a multi-faceted performance. With the addition of Dan Jackimek’s (Pianist) melodic runs and resonant overtones, the sound became fuller and more versatile. As an electric act, they push and pull the audience over the divide of rock and blues. In search of a higher vision LNK, a local folk artist was introduced and brought her horn trio, bringing the band to life. The trio is Ramone Esparza (Various Saxophones), Eleanore Bacani (Trumpet) and LNK (Alto Saxophone). Acoustically they touch your soul as a folkie duet with fluid rhythms and eye-opening harmonies. Jackie’s powerful rock rhythms and smokey folk voice; alongside Keeler Grimm’s thick bluesy voice and seductive fret work, bring about a show that drives temptation, as well as your body.

Influences include Rush, Yes, Metallica, Marillion, Pink Floyd, Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Black Sabbath, Muse, Iron Maiden, Smashing Pumpkins, Jethro Tull, Spocks Beard, Zappa, Genisis, prog, folk, rock, etc.

We are a trio (drums, bass and guitar) and two of us are singing (kind of). We started in Brixton, London (UK), now we're in Brixton, London (UK), Lyon and Marseille (France).
We are playing a tasty mix of blues, rock, hard rock, stoner and punk. We love feedbacks, really fast and really slow tempos.

Our first LP is out, it's called Live At La Boulangerie. It's a live recording and you can download it for free on our Bandcamp.
