James Curds’ ‘High Tower’ single gets the remix treatment. 
A team of legendary remixers line up to provide some hot reworks of ‘High Tower’. Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley is house music royalty, with hundreds of remix credits to his name, and he doesn’t disappoint here. He ups the melancholy undertones of the original with sweet electric piano, sorrowful strings and some moments of pure drama eked from the vocal climaxes. Osunlade’s Yoruba Soul mix is typically classy, stripping things back down to a soulful lilt with shimmering synth arps and tumbling bongos decking out a succinct, warm, beautiful arrangement. His Club Mix makes a beeline for tech-tinged, deep, soulful house with spacious synths and throbbing low end.
