Melbourne's Pugilist opens the gates with 'Flip Trix.' It's a dub-drenched, broken techno hybrid with earth-shattering low-end throughout. This lengthy 130bpm track, with foggy breaks and frosty pads, smartly concludes on a 4x4 beat to ensure a smooth exit. 'Flip Trix' is certainly a future percy for all.

3 years after their debut, Lyon-based collective Silence Collapse are back with a new compilation featuring some of the finest producers on the French music scene.

Keeping with the collective's original philosophy, ‘VA II’ mixes styles and energies, bringing together 11 tracks of varying shades. From Dubstep to IDM, the compilation offers a wealth of sound that best represents the musical eclecticism defended by Silence Collapse.

VA II will be available on 24 January on Bandcamp and all streaming
platforms. All sales will be donated to the Lyon-based charity "Tous à la musique".

Milan-based Beat Machine Records unveil the maiden voyage of their Terra Tempo series with ‘Beyoglurush’ from Istanbul-born, Berlin-based visionary Freedjom, aka Özgür Haznedar...‘Boulevard Of Mists’ casts a hypnotic spell from its very first notes. A swirling mist of introspective textures unfurls like smoke rising from a Hookah Pipe, laced with the profound poetry of Attila İlhan, whose words ripple through the track like whispers across the Bosphorus. The track brims with cinematic intent, pulling listeners into a dreamlike drift away from Istanbul’s glowing panorama. As it progresses, a whirlwind of frenzied percussion, bass-heavy kicks and dervish-like spins of rhythm conjure visions of hidden rituals in acdimly lit meyhane.

Decoys explore the ways that internal perception distorts and develops as it navigates the fluid boundaries of the self. The EP’s title invokes the distracting and alluring elements of an incomplete double—an illusion that, upon closer inspection, uncovers something perhaps even deeper than its originating source. The title track pairs driving rhythms with dark, rustling atmospheres and layers of competing bass punctured by the screech of unidentifiable machines to create a relentless forward momentum with no clear destination. “Imitation Body” layers found sound to assemble a beat that pushes and pulls with a distinct swing, anchored by ghost-like ambiance and an insistent low end. On “Fear Of Others,” paranoia and uncertainty channel into a chest-rattling dubstep excursion. As the track shifts between two distinct moods, the elements anchoring it mutate and shift. The EP closes with “Respite,” a breathy half-time closer accented by bursts of frenetic sound and warbling bass, as though the music itself is resisting disintegration.

● French producer Colline debuts his first EP on Dionysian Mysteries titled “Algarade”, filled with passion, depth, and hopefulness. Colline’s sound is personal and deeply emotive. His cinematic soundscape blurs the lines between club and listening music. The EP consists of two original tracks and one remix by Nouveau Monica. The original works Algarade and Poursuite are both beautifully crafted introspective pieces that give a sense of universal awe and sense of great optimism. Nouveau Monica’s remix of Algarade is bittersweet and pours out feelings of soul-searching lost moments. Its dreamlike qualities remain uplifting and empowering as it trudges forward to new beginnings. Algarade by Colline is a deep breath and welcoming refuge from the dance music culture that is obsessed with going faster and harder.

The track evokes the tacky atmosphere of late-night public radio shows, where prank calls, celebrity gossip, and the latest hits would dominate the airwaves. These references are sampled and shattered into abstraction, creating a blend of sounds borrowed from various aesthetics: breakbeat, trance, acid, garage, and bass – echoes of the 2000s resonating in a futuristic and diverse era."
