Following on from his beautiful ‘Solidify’ EP on Control Freak Recordings, Awo Ojiji brings his signature genre-fluid style to the 909 podcast series. Deeply atmospheric and focused around their love for leftfield techno and bass music, the mix includes a lot of favourites from the likes of Batu, Luka, Excel, Blawan, Nikki Nair and Delay Grounds to name a few. A punchy percussive session. 

Speaking about the mix, Awo Ojiji says, “I approached this mix similar to how i approach djing in a club. i collected a lot of tunes i feel right now into a playlist with very rough idea in my head and then i pressed record and started playing and see where it leads me. it's a bit uptempo and includes a lot of tunes i play a lot in clubs these days. i'm really happy how it turned out, it's rowdy and intense at moments and soothing at others. it moves through a few waves of up and downs. and thats what i do when djing in general. i hope you enjoy :)”

Refuge Worldwide: Untitled 909 - basic chanel (Earth Day Special)

Embarking on a thrilling sonic departure, Michael Claus resurfaces with "Dark Forest," a 12" EP that's sure to incite movement on dance floors everywhere. Shifting away from the chill, down-tempo vibe of his previous release "Lavender Palace," Claus dives headfirst into the realm of breakbeats, heavy synth lines, and distortion. The two original tracks, "Dark Forest" and "Paranoia," bear witness to the innovative producer's penchant for exploration, as he navigates the new BPM range and sound palette with fearless curiosity.
