Following previous tracks released on Mahiane's Oxycanta compilations, and a first album on Floor Limit, Japanese composer Hidetoshi Koizumi aka Hybrid Leisureland delivers a stunning ambient album titled [ Scroll Slide ] .

The artist weaves repetitive sine waveforms, fragile textures and evanescent melodies around two strong themes which are the contradiction of human existence and interpersonal communication.

[ Scroll Slide ] presents his reflections in the form of micro environments, delicate yet intense.Subdued rhythms, high pitched soundscapes on the verge of Larsen effects and crafted simplicity are the keys to Hybrid Leisureland's unique music.

Expect a rough diamond of atmospheric electronica.

Stockholm based ambient downtempo producer Thomas Huttenlocher aka I AWAKE follows up his digital Ep release [ Birth ] with a full length album [ The Core ] 
Built as a journey of audio neural beauty through organic microcosms, electronic vortexes, deep, tribal beats and vast soundscapes, the album takes us on a pilgrimage of sounds, with scents of parallel lives, glimpses of the future and overlapping, coexisting dimensions. 

A superfine blend of psychedelic spurs, groovy bass lines and catchy melodies composed with the collaboration of Krister Linder, Fredrik Lundberg, Tara Devi and Planet Boelex. As a film soundtrack producer, I AWAKE is one of the key figures of Ghostfriend, a Swedish underground movement of creators with a "peculiar devotion to the present and strong love for the innermost". 

For the first time in Ultimae's history of releases, the artwork was created by famous digital artist and designer David Vineïs aka Sub88.

With previous releases on Origo Sound and Beatservice Records, Norwegian duo Circular signs here a strong and highly anticipated fourth album. [ Substans ] unfolds as a collection of micro ambient tales, journeys into intricate and multi-layered soundscapes. The band thought this album as a sonic line tangent to realms as opposite as floating atmospherica and industrial clunks; a deep kaleidoscopic glide through reverberated guitar riffs, uplifting grooves and environmental ambient. 
Ardent ISDN enthusiasts will notice the impression Future Sound Of London's avant-garde electronica left on Bjarte Andreassen and Jostein Dahl Gjelsvik. Indeed the band claims influences as diverse as Biosphere, Boards of Canada, Sun Electric and saw this album as one opportunity to acknowledge landmarks in their history of music encyclopaedia. 

Moreover, [ Substans ] reveals the work of a collective of photographers and designers. The artists joined by Christin Vaag, Torje Bjellås, Øyvind Veberg and Christoffer Furnes reflected on the album echoes in the vast Scandinavian territories.

Following his debut album The Core, Swedish composer Thomas Huttenlocher re-enters his alias I Awake and sets his sound on its next journey with Tierra, a new three track EP which marks the first step in a series of releases to come in 2014. 

The artist brings out refined Downtempo grooves infused with layers ethereal atmospheres and electronic instrumentations to create his ode to the living pearl we have come to call home.

These 3 new chapters explore the Minimal Ambient & Liquid Drum'n'Bass structures to in fine propose a cinematic and out of time chronicle, switching from quiet territories to ultra-modern violence.

From the passionate lands of France, Arnaud Galoppe, known as Focal and Kinosura, has hand-mixed an emotional labyrinth of dark techno and melancholy ambience in Ultimae’s latest compilation.
Polarity is a double-sided conglomerate of electronic expressions from all over the world, spanning across atmospheric soundworlds of intimate drone and deep, industrial progressions.
This collection of heartwarming soundscapes and foot-stomping house beats is smoother than butter, a series of 26 top-notch tracks that paint an interesting, auditory adventure. 
Although the album has a minimalistic approach, it offers a surprisingly detailed production. Each track is layered with expert craftsmanship and hypnotic melodies laced against diverse, psychedelic noise echoing in the distance.
Polarity is certainly an experience worth traversing, and we are proud to host it as an excellent addition to any electronica connoisseur's sound-library.

The Polarity artwork was imagined by plasticians Suzy Lelièvre and Raphaël Kuntz.
From a sphere, they conceived a parametric deformation protocol for a decomposition in several stages. While Suzy imagines shapes and the potential modifications to impact, Raphaël works on the incarnation process to extract a mineral matter look, something geological, almost chemical. As they materialise, with slow lighting work, shapes undergo random offsets, revealing the tension between a near scientific protocol and its subjective interpretation. Beyond the infinite production of singular shapes, the goal of both artists, especially for this project, is to invent new processes that invite a reconsideration of our attitude to shapes.
In the same way, from Ambient to Techno, through a game of modulation of pads, rhythms and frequencies, Polarity offers a variety of musical spectra flowing into one another, a melodic exploration of the twists and turns which link both universes.

James Murray and Francis M Gri's Remote Redux is a delicate and original response to distance and closeness as expressed by the Japanese concept Ma, known also as negative space. It's a place of elegant dimension where Gri's graceful piano motifs and bowed guitar figures are carefully framed within the free flowing surrounds of Murray's warm synth sequences and nuanced sound design.

Having released each other's work on their Slowcraft and KrysaliSound imprints James and Francis naturally extended this exchange into a remote London-Milan collaboration. The resulting debut is an unhurried collection of exquisitely crafted minimal ambient, tender and contemplative, a listening experience that simultaneously explores and distorts our awareness of separation and togetherness.
