With today's various dance music genres, cartela has created his own super sound. A natural mixture of strong and deep grooves, raw loops and black primal beats, all blended with a touch of tender melancholic harmonies as topping. Turning his hand to a variety of styles while still maintaining a strong signature sound, cartela has created an admired musical identity and a loyal global following.

After threatening to work together for close to a year Bobby Yetter (better known as Citizen Seven) and Nick Sweat (recently a solo artist, formerly of Strange Tarantulas and The Old Curiosity Shop) finally began their collaboration on July 3, 2013. Wanting to see where they would be headed musically, with the terms '80s' and 'shoegaze' in mind, the two decided on starting things off with a good old fashioned cover. After a few attempts they eventually decided on The Cure's 'Pictures of You'. Shortly after finishing their first cover the duo began working on their first original song dubbed 'A Night of Desirable Objects'. Opting out of the usual route new "bands" take releasing an EP or 2 first, Nick & Bob decided to throw caution to the wind and emerge from their self-built recording studio with a full length album before even playing a single live set. We're not just talking any old album either. This one's a concept piece concerning the descent into madness of an unnamed man after he experiences a very traumatic event. The Ether's Tragic, Bogeyman's debut album, will be available for free via Bandcamp in the Spring of 2014. On October 8, 2013 the duo became a trio when Mitchell Uz, a close friend of both Nick and Bob, joined in offering up his special unmatched skills on guitar and, not to mention, music theory. With Mitchell's inclusion it's safe to say these songs will have a very fresh feel considering his playing style, on top of the already original take on guitar-oriented electronic shoegaze the group have going for them. The trio released their second original single, entitled 'Elegentia', backed with a complete reinvention of the classic Joy Division anthem 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' in October with plans to unveil a final pre-album release single in January 2014.
