To mark the label’s third anniversary we’ve enlisted a team of friends and family to remix tracks from the labels back catalogue spread across a range of genres that influence the labels.

We’re also running a third birthday party on the 21st of August at VENUE MOT that features artists included on the compilation as well as some of our favourite London DJs.

Viers rolls through with a unique 4-track, club oriented EP entitled ‘Innocence’ for Typeless. After some previously highly acclaimed releases, the Leeds based artist reinforces his supremacy with a fiercely diverse electronic voyage.


‘EVA00’ on the A side offers up a hybrid electro-breaks infused sound with rolling basslines and euphoric melodies, encapsulating yet to be heard futuristic club cuts. Whilst ‘Douglas Descend’ adheres to a more classically punchy techno sonic with hypnotic kicks and a protruding industrial snare. B-Side’s ‘Innocence’ is a dark bass-heavy electro track that is masterfully mind-bending. The EP is then rounded off by the warehouse inspired track entitled ‘LSD’, reminiscent of big room rave settings of the 90’s.

Mr Telephones pumps up the pace, jumping drastically from his last downtempo-oriented "Point Breaks / Beach Breaks" EP. This time closing in on the 150bpm mark, with the raw pump of "Blue-Tek", a funky oddball-roller hybridizing ghettotech, detroit soul, balearic and italo house. Flip wax for the trippy soundscapey ambient techno-trip "FV555", speeding through a hazy highway, with the forest on one side, and ocean on the other. Both sides neatly wrapped up with trippy reprise-versions. Pressed at 45 for max flex!

They floated softly upon the breeze, flowing through the forest in which wild dancers lived. These were the night time melodies, sounds which warmed the coldest hearts. He watched as people all around him listened intently to the music which echoed between the trees, looking upwards he could catch a glimpse of an occasional star which flickered and fluttered against a backdrop of thick dense black. This was a magical place and these were the sounds of the natural future. 

Alan Dixon is set to release a new EP on Love Attack and it certainly leaves us longing for the sort of warm, hedonistic nights described above. This one is destined for sun kissed stages and the close company of friends on the dance floor.

Conceived in the literal underground of the INDEX:Records basement studio in Berlin, the enigmatic, new-coming “pop” group Downstairs People, is an unlikely collaborative project to be birthed from 2020 – the year of isolation. ‘Underground Pop’ is a collection of aural serotonin hits that touch the feel good receptors, genre hopping between synth-pop, house and neo-RnB. 

The group is conducted and glued together by INDEX:Record's own, Jorge Camacho, the maestro behind his alias, @vasesound. Camacho brings together a gauntlet of Berlin-based artists and INDEX: affiliates, dishing out something fresh after countless late night sessions, only to curate a serendipitously coherent record of left-field pop hits, that arrive just in time for summer.

‘Underground Pop’ by Downstairs People is out 16 April 2021 via single disk 12” LP vinyl, with full album artwork outer-sleeve and black inner-sleeve. A run of 250 copies are distributed worldwide by Rubadub and available to purchase on INDEX:Records' Bandcamp (where a limited amount are offered with a rare edition Downstairs People Zine, designed by @amos-turner).
