Roman ‘ Impish ’ is one of the more recent names to emerge from the hotbed of Russian Drum 'N' Bass. The Moscow based producer and DJ has been releasing records since 2008, and has since put his name to tracks on some of the biggest labels in the scene. Initially interested in funk and rock, as soon as he found Drum & Bass he was immediately captivated by the sound and has since mostly focused his music writing around it, releasing a tranche of singles and an album on his own ‘ Occulti Music ’ label, as well as with a raft of others.

With a friend he then started ‘Burning Series’ in Moscow, a monthly drum & bass / breakbeat night famous for its homely atmosphere and vinyl only sets since 2003.

Impish released 3 albums with Vasilisa Jarlier called ‘Silence’ and 'Underwater' which brought together material written over the course of 2008 to 2013. Late 2017 Impish releases his 3rd album the Hush. 'Muted' LP coming out in 2025

Drum & Bass producer and DJ hailing from Bydgoszcz, Poland. His journey into music production started from making Hip-Hop beats at the late 90s. Then the fascination of other genres like Downtempo, Future Jazz, Trip Hop pushed him further to explore new musical horizons and taking inspiration from every corner. For the last several years he has been focusing on deep and soulful style of Drum & Bass. Releasing on labels such as CIA Deep Kut, Vandal Records, Celsius Recordings, Expressions, Influenza Media and Soul Deep Recordings. His tracks are supported by LTJ Bukem, DJ Marky, London Elektricity, Total Science, Big Bud & DJ Patife to name a few.

Barbitura aka dj Dan superstar DJ and bad boy number 1 - DJ Dan. Just check few facts about his background : One of the first russian original B-Boys at 80-s then Dan formed first Russian boys band “Malchishnik”. It combined usual boys band appearance with hip-hop, nasty lyrics and punk attitude. It was rough and dirty. During “Malchishnik” Dan started djing breakbeat and drum-n-bass. In few years Dan was raising young Russian d-n-b scene, making first radio show about jungle music ("Storm" on "Station" 106 ,8  FM". Moscow) and playing all around Russia on biggest raves, perfecting his dj skills and working hardly for recognition. First release on his own label, Dan Jet Records in ‘96 - Jungle Book Part 1 - double 12’’ was also first ever release from Russia on vinyl and got seal of approval and was played that times by biggest UK dj’s This release was sold out in a month only in Russia and now is collector’s item. There were few more releases on Dan Jet after, but on CD only - compilations Jungle Book Part 2 (2000) and Storm (2000). Then Dan formed new side project - Barbitura and released 6 more albums stepping more into breaks and leftfield territory and making live shows with band all over the Russia. Barbitura albums were nominated to Ptutch Awards (the only Russian dance music awards by the oldest dance music magazine) as “Albums of The Year” (Highway, 2000 and Constructore, 2001). First print of “Constructore” - 10 000 CD’s - was sold out in few months. Dan was also nominated at Ptiuch Awards as a DJ, remixer and producer every year and got best Russian DJ Award in ’99 (there’s still just 6 DJs in Russia who won this award) and Best Remix Award in 2000, not bad even keeping in mind that he got this award in competition with house, techno and trance dj’s. It’s quite hard even imagine if Grooverider could win analogue of this award in UK. So here’s finally possibility for his music to be heard and played by dj’s and music lovers from the other side of “iron curtain”

Total Science - A Brief History

Jason Greenhalgh (Q-Project) and Paul Smith (Spinback) first met in 1987 brought together through their mutual love of hip-hop music. Over the next few years the pair developed a deep appreciation for Techno and Dance music at the beginning of its worldwide takeover. By 1991, Spinback was an established DJ, gracing the decks at events week in week out including the world famous “Universe”, meanwhile Q-Project had entered into the studio, his first release "Freestyle Fanatic", Their first label, Legend Records was launched with Q-Project’s highly acclaimed "Champion Sound" in 1992. It took their profile to new heights, and it remains one of the most influential tunes of its time and generation this was swiftly followed by the start of their early recording career together under the name Funky Technicians ……and so the unstoppable collaboration had begun.
In 1996, the well established pair launched the Computer Integrated Audio (C.I.A) label and the alias Total Science, was born. Over the coming years, Total Science had releases on all the major D&B labels including Metalheadz, Goodlooking, Moving Shadow, Hospital, Tru Playaz, 31 Records, Reinforced, Soul:r, Shogun Audio to name but a few, as well as releases under their own C.I.A. and various other imprints.

Total Science/ Q-Project have release 4 albums, however, the actual number of singles and EP’s the pair have released is currently an unknown quantity.
