Back in 1993 I discovered Ruffneck Records on a trip to Scotland. Their sound completely changed my life for probably 5 years, and even to this day. I became a DJ at age 17 and also a producer and hardcore was my life and my sound. Every Ruffneck release meant everything to me, from the artwork to the producer (usually PVK) they had the total package and even more to me they could not be stopped. I made this remix as a tribute to them in 2011 and never released it out of respect. This is not a free download and I may never release it, but I want to share it because of what Ruffneck Records meant to me growing up. I hope you enjoy it.

The air was warm, thick, heavy, sluggish. The long stretches of the waterway ran on, deserted, into the gloom of overshadowed distances…and this stillness of life did not in the least resemble a peace. It was the stillness of an implacable force brooding over an inscrutable intention. It looked at you with a vengeful aspect. As I slowly penetrated ever so deeper into this heart of darkness my soul was set ablaze with an infinity of wonders that I discovered…”
