Julie Desire’s new EP Call Me Back marks a bold step in her creative evolution. Following last year’s standout single For Them You’re Just a Freak, the Paris-based DJ and producer dives deeper into her love for house in its most sensual and dynamic forms. Released on Correspondant, the EP highlights Julie’s evolving and vibrant house sound.

PREMIERE - Nairless - Keep It Simple (Maruwa Remix) (E&X Records)

New Zealand psychedelic-soul duo Electric Wire Hustle are back with a brand new E.P following up last year's critically-acclaimed album Love Can Prevail. "Brother Sun" features fellow Kiwi and Grammy Award winning chanteuse Kimbra. This track reflects the groups love for hip-hop while bringing the genre into the present day. 

"Brother Sun" is the first single from the forthcoming Electric Wire Hustle 'Aeons' EP, out August 28 on Bastard Jazz (Rest of World) and Loop (AUS/NZ). A brand new album will follow in early 2016.

Good authorities once claimed that this guy Jack had some kind of a groove from which came the groove of all grooves. We think it's about time to let someone prove that again. MAXIMONO’s unmistakable trademark sound is a new and refreshing approach dusting off Jacks fundaments and making them future-proof. 

After delivering two highly anticipated tracks for our recent compilations and releasing two artist EPs on Lowsteppa’s Simma Black Label, amongst their huge debut EP on CUFF for which Amine Edge proclaimed a new genre called "Shakin" House“, MAXIMONO are back home with their ‘Jack It’ EP. They stay true to their own little genre by letting raw organic breakbeats meet a punching bassline and plenty of altered hip hop and funk elements. 

For the remixes they’ve attracted a truly diverse and multi national dream team consisting of South Africa’s Kyle Watson, France’s Tim Baresko and Canada’s Chris Larsen showing off with the highest quality good vibes house music has to offer.

We've already featured Kris in our « mixed by » serie and we're not shying away from featuring him again so much his an important piece of montreal's music community. Kris is one to never shy away from living his passion to the fullest and undertaking multiple projects to bring people together and take them unto unforgetable musical journeys. Starting to build his reputation and getting known in Montreal through the organization of underground events, now Kris is living his passion to a new level with a his latest undertaking: starting his own record store. « La Rama » is a mirror of Kris's taste and personality. Eclectic, down to earth, open to share and experiment and most importantly, open to people. The record store is configured , with its little bistro bar where you can enjoy a cup of coffee before or after digging throughs the stacks of vinyls, for music lovers to stay awhile. If you want to test your latest digs, there's even a space in front with decks where you can test run new acquisitions and experiment the blends and mixes that could generate some chemistry and hypnotize future audiences. Of course, if you need, Kris is there to help and will more than gladly exchange with other melomaniacs about records and the history, personal and general, behind each of them.

We caught up with Kris who was kind enough to give us some time and chat with us and even cook up a little impromtu mix full of goodies from his store.
