Roy Vision, your "favorite’s favorite DJ’’ has been steadily rising over the past two years. He, whom critic Louise Chen regards as "one the best French producer of the moment" strikes again with a well-crafted four-track EP, a small ode to house music filled with the percussive and dreamy touch he's known for.

After quality releases on Visions Recordings, Top Pocket, and his own label Demo Test, Lucas has likely found the opportunity to carve out a space around his Roy Vision project (The guy also heads one of the most interesting projects in terms of analogic live right now as Nouveau Monica. An explosive IDM concentrate with UK GARAGE aspirations,  has just unveiled his new live act at Astropolis summer festival in 2023 and played alongside Mr. Laurent Garnier recently, quite a feat).
A maestria of syncopated rhythms and probably a pioneer of the synergy between deep house and garage house, always with that almost organic treatment of drums and his special attention to sampling.

He first offers "Cold Sea Euphoria," an intoxicating Leftfield House/Electro ballad of 7 minutes and 50 seconds, where the work on the drums and the particular attention to the treatment of textures and the development of tension around the track is kindly reminiscent of a certain Pépé Bradock.

We come out of this listen groggy, and all the skipping textures at the end of the track throw us into the second track "Dark Dance". The original track is an instrumental with a strong melancholic feel, a haunting pad bouncing on a bass with '90s accents for a mental and progressive track still in an assumed deep aesthetic. 

The third track is a cleverly orchestrated remix by the brilliant Tatie Dee filled with Rhodes-House aesthetic, warm bass and a fairly primal house that is definitely infused with the producer's trademark we love.

"The Morning After" closes the project with a whole other energy. Probably the most club-oriented track on the EP, flirting with acid house where the bassline drives more minimalist arrangements and textures. 

This EP is thus a concentrate of all this "RV’s Secret Sauce" in the service of clubs and for the greatest pleasure of our informed ears. A four-track that probably pays homage to the genre's pioneers as much as it brings that je ne sais quoi of freshness and novelty we've come to expect over his course.

DJ Alone Again’s Affection EP is a moody, tasty tribute to lo-fi house that combines danceable hooks with nostalgic romance. The UK’s Benjamin Groove (Shall Not Fade, Nervous Records) brings a kicked-up garage remix to round things out.

When this four-tracker landed in our inbox, we made space for it without a second thought. Known for his cheeky crowd-pleasing edits and innate sense of melody, the New York producer arrives with his most cohesive collection yet. These introspective tunes are right at home on the dancefloor when the moment calls for something that pulls on the heartstrings.

"One More Night" starts things off on an ethereal but danceable note with a bouncing bassline, shuffling drums, yearning vocals, and shimmery pads, forming a soundscape that invites reflection.

“Come On Back” highlights DJ Alone Again’s rhythmic sensibilities. Soulful vocals and synth sparkles slip between the grooving, interlocked percussion and pulsing low end.

“Want U Close,” the emotional core of the EP, starts sparse and unfurls with deliberate patience. Here, the artist allows the music to expand in its own time, creating space for listeners to fully immerse themselves. It’s a meditation on subtlety, repetition, and nuance that builds anticipation.

"In 2 U" puts a bow on the EP’s original tracks with characteristic intentionality. It’s a slow burn but one that fuses the best of DJ Alone Again’s sensibilities: dreamy vocals and swirling atmospherics pushed forward by an undeniable foundation of percussion and bass.

The EP circles back with the Benjamin Groove remix of "One More Night," injecting a vibrant, 2-step energy into the original's moody allure that propels it into a new light. It's a fitting finale that celebrates the introspective and uplifting depth of the EP.

PREMIERE: DJ Alone Again - IN 2 U [Fortune Signal]

Rolling into their 6th year, Manchester’s Do As You Please welcome back brand-head, Joe Roche, for his first EP since 2022.
Life since lockdown has seen Roche performing 150 gigs per year at home and abroad. Alongside supporting the Manchester DJ scene through his work with Reform Radio, and hosting regular events across the city, Joe has been working quietly on redefining his sound.

The first instalment comes in the form of DAYP:003, named after a new member of the DAYP family - Chunks the Maine Coon cat. Chonk EP delivers a tasteful yet familiar sound palate, spanning peak-time main room to summertime terrace, exhibiting Roche’s signature sound design, versatility and fun-loving approach to house music.

Let’s Go maintains Joe’s anthemic, 90s infused production style, delivering blistering 909 drums, classic house piano and Detroit vocals.

Chonk explores a blend of acid house, garage and electro, with focus on playful sound design and a mischievous disposition. 

The third track, Serious delivers an accessible and timeless deep house vibe, suitable for parties day and night.

Born and raised in the sunny hills of Luberon, in the south of France, Immersif knows exactly how to get hearts beating to the beat of his music. Already recognisable on the house scene, he comes to Sengiley Recordingas his four-track multi-genre release - The Creative Act EP. It's a true creative act that makes you immerse yourself in a world of sounds and emotions.

The Creative Act talks about the process of artistic creation : how we digest how our inspirations to give life to something new and personal, and the contrast between all the self-doubtness and the "strokes-of-genius-feelings" that reach us when we're making music.
Belvedere 707 - was made just after a digging journey trough the late 2010's lo-fi house era, and the chicago deep house scene from the late 90's / early 2000's. The result is a tribute track melting this two differents but very similar eras of the deep house spectrum, united by a melancholic spirit and a minimalistic approach.
Winter in a seaside resort -  as indicated by his name, i have produced this track coming back from a winter holiday break along the mediterranean french coast, in the peaceful town of "Le Grau-du-Roi", totally deserted at this period. I was driving at sunset through the empties palm trees alleys, fascinated by the strong nostalgic feeling emerging from this scenery. The result is a melancholic track, with breaky drums, dubby stabs and g-funk synths, all that through my mind when i was thinking about this memories.
Are You Still Watching -  is a story-telling track, no genres, no pre-defined schemas, just tryin to musically represent some memories, the most difficult but also the funniest exercise.

Rinse FM resident and London scene stalwart @oliver-rant returns via the 'Underground Solution' EP. 

Recorded intermittently over a couple of years with various techniques, notably 'Your Love' and 'Every Time' were made at Lavonz's studio which is set up identical to how he had it in the 90's: 32 channel Mackie Desk, Korg M1, Roland JV 2080 and some delay courtesy of the Roland Space Echo. Lots of influence from older tracks and production techniques but with a more polished modern twist.

The three tracks of the EP "Charli" are characterised by a distinct 90s progressive house vibe while always keeping an eye towards the contemporary, maintaining a high BPM and strong energy throughout. An EP designed for the dance floor with tribal and hypnotic hints, as seen in the opening track "Solenoid Samba," but also featuring more "Pop" elements as in the case of the title track "Charli” and “This Land Is Still My Home”. We can't wait to hear Ahni's debut album lighting up the dance floors.

Following on from the positive feedback for KRL’s 'Third' EP released via the buzzing Quintessentials imprint, the label has tapped a pair of eclectic talents to remix the material. Taking on the standout track 'Never Leave' is label mate Loz Goddard who flips the original into a smooth and shimmering ballad highlighted by deep emotional tones and broken beat percussion. It's a moody motif that tugs at the heart strings and delivers a beautifully sensual tune.  

The 'Never Leave Remixes' is set for release March 22.
