Bring sexy back - JENSON x Justin Timberlake x Timbaland

Old time friend of the label and major artist of the downtempo scene of the South of France, Fred Berthet is signing Global Warming latest release. Much respected for his works as DJ Steef, Copyshop or Troublemakers (with DJ Oil & Arnaud Taillefer), he delivered us two downtempo acid jams, filled with sexual tension, seeping walls and slow orgy. It also features remixes from our all-time favorites Italian balearic band, Mushrooms Project, who sends us back a superb organic and solar vision or the original track and on the opposite, Global Warming’s founder Malcolm (@mmaallccoollmm), signing a bestial and deliciously obscure cover. "Machine Love"s squelchy synths and gritty percussion build towards a chopped and skewed finale, that has proved a ferocious piece of club artillery in Dusky’s sets this summer.

There was a fierce chatter in the chamber as the crowd began to gather to observe the verdict. A lot of talk for a small room and a lot of people with too much to say. This was the way of the world these days, politicians with dead weight opinions and a sense of righteousness enough to sink a ship. Perhaps this is all we were to them, a sinking ship, we the sailors floundering overboard whilst the great beast fell to the ocean floor beneath the waves. These were horrid times, there was too much talk. 

La Dune Records are set to release a split ep with an intriguing and exciting array of talent on display. Native Cruise is a relatively new name but has appeared in the right places as of light having released music on both No Bad Days and Fruit Merchant. He delivers a sunny, balearic, house cut as part of the package.

OOSSHA continues her path with a second release by G. Markus titled Warning! OOSSHA is an outlet for music that’s dedicated to house and alternative styles while always maintaining ferce and unique ingredients that conquer hearts.

UK producer Ben Gomori revisits his G. Markus alter ego for an EP that pays tribute to the Jungle and Drum & Bass soundtrack of his formative years. Dreemscape ’93 opens the EP; a vibey piece that instantly recalls old school house tracks with its use of a contagious groove, fltered elements and a specifc vocal sample taken from Dreamscape's 1993 NYE party. On the same side we fnd queniv turning B side track The Sleepless Moon into his unique blend of breakbeat elements and twisted ambient layers.

On the fipside, Roger Gerressen turns Dreemscape 93’ into his own interpretation of lo-f fltered chord sweetness and combining it with hypnotizing Rhodes patterns. B2 makes space for the original Sleepless Moon which is all about the rhythms. Intricate midi programming triggers acoustic drum samples that intertwine with twinkling ear candy and a jungle break before breaking up the patterns with an infectious bassline.

Andy Ash has been quietly sneaking out seriously good analogue-driven electronic music on some of the best underground labels for over a decade. The Liverpool-based producer, DJ and visual artist has graced the likes of Chicago’s Stilove4music, NYC’s On The Prowl, Sydney’s People Must Jam and has remixed Fantastic Man for Detroit label Kolour LTD amongst many others. The bottom line is that he’s definitely one of the UK’s unsung heroes when it comes to deep, raw, Chicago and Detroit-influenced house music and Delusions of Grandeur is proud to welcome him with an amazing three tracker entitled the Bottleneck EP.

The title track opens with snappy hats, flappy congas and sloppy baseline all sitting perfectly in the mix and with a looseness that is much harder to achieve that it may seem. A simple synth melody doubles up the bassline while an extra square wave lead adds that little extra hook without distracting us from the bouncing groove. With Bottleneck, less is definitely more.

Flipping over we have Hump, an altogether darker affair with a twisting acid line joining distorted 808 drums and tripped-out snippets of spoken word coming in and out of focus. The low-slung bumpy groove and spacey synth parts make this a compelling warehouse track which will draw everyone into it’s seductive confines.

Closing the release we have Actual Price, a shuffling, deep groover with rumbling low end and machine-like analogue synth part skipping around the crunchy beats. A cerebral yet punchy and dynamic closer to an excellent release!

This Is Our Time is thrilled to announce its first international artist, Perdu from Amsterdam.
On his EP called 'Finding Life on Planet Rash' he launches us up to the stars with 'Sun Of Nahar' starting this mission with italo-propulsion. This sends us to a stratosphere high trajectory and lands us on 'Equalizing The Truth', an elusive jam with a toned-down bassline and otherworldly soundscapes. The triumphant cosmic house called 'Changing Worlds' leads the way on the B-side with rolling chimes and tribal-y percussion and our dancefloor exploration ends with 'Wrong Perception' a subtle and delicate track which is the deepest of all so it gives the space and time to just reflect. 
We were on board the first time we listened to these tracks so buy a ticket for the ride!

Tom Banks aka Donald Dust joins us for 'Mouth Feel', the latest instalment of our Whyte Numbers 12” series.

I’m Bobby Orlando is a ‘passionate’ tribute to the king of Hi-NRG himself, later remixed by Mood Hut co- founder Local Artist. Bone Structure pairs synth chords influenced by peak 80s Vince Clarke with dry, punchy Chicago House drums and a production nod to I-f’s broken Space Invaders setup. Elsewhere, Banks morphs Lightning Bolt of Love from a stomping, fizzy downtempo House track to a psychedelic journey of discovery, complete with a stoned conversation with himself. Finishing the 12” is a sequel of sorts to 2017’s Skyway Patrol, an intergalactic anthem fit to soundtrack the most intense battle in Space.
