Embark on a sonic odyssey with Nervous Operator's latest album, "Psychic Diffraction," an audacious nine-track collection where the pulse of syncopated rhythms and psychedelic synthcraft meet the ethereal realms of ambient melodies and hypnagogic dreamscapes.

Forging a path that diverges from the digitally-centered composition of his last album, "Chronostasis" released on Dreamtone in 2021, Nervous Operator, who is based in Vancouver, embraces the raw energy and imperfections of live performance. "Psychic Diffraction" has its roots in two dynamic live PA sets, which served as the creative essence for the album. The original performances were recorded, only to be reworked through a studio process that refined and enhanced the compositions without sacrificing the spontaneous spirit of the live experience. Utilizing an impressive array of hardware, including an Octatrack, Rytm (gratitude to Josh Rose aka Derivatives for lending the device), Syntakt, and the Mopho, Nervous Operator ensures each track delivers a palpable and vibrant auditory experience that is tinged with tactile warmth.

“Psychic Diffraction” is also a homage to the influence Chicago, where Nervous Operator previously lived, had on the artist’s creative process. “Much of my inspiration came from my time in Chicago and the musicians and DJs I met through various shows and parties. I greatly appreciated the freedom of exploration and melding of genres”. As a result, the album boasts an eclectic blend of industrial, electro, breakbeat, and techno. “I always aim to create small ‘worlds’ for the listener to explore sonically and to layer textures in such a way that allows the listener to discover new elements on repeated plays,” Nervous Operator reflects. "Psychic Diffraction" indeed offers a multilayered auditory odyssey that becomes richer with each listen.

Having been in Montreal for 4 years now, Emiliano’s imprint in the city’s tight-knight music scene has grown stronger each year. Emiliano Chamandy, a talented and resourceful musician, producer, DJ, booker & promoter from Mexico, has been putting the jog-wheels to use for over 7 years now. From spinning wax to composing trax, it’s clear he lives and breathes electronic music. Based in Montreal now, his commitment to the craft has caught the ear of many. Since the early days of his Barbossa residency, Chamandy keeps driving his momentum onward, turnin’ heads each & every weekend.

Emiliano pushes deeper into the scene once again, presenting the debut release on his new label SEER RECORD CO. The standout for the Bolting Bits crew is the A2 - Smooth House (Tribute). Chamandy produced the track in dedication to the OG NY House tune by Barkim & Langel (from the Mission Inhousable-EP). Twisting his version with a personal touch and analog feel, the track features fellow members from his Montreal crew - The Fella’s Q-Tips. Formed upon punchy kicks, Emiliano balances shimmering arpeggios (played by Boogaloo Jones), a chunky modulating bassline, and macro-structural nuances that amplify the lushy dreamy chords (played by Maxime Miaja). A dancefloor mover of the highest proportions; battle-tested and approved at many of Montreal’s recent jubilant jams.

Gaspero is addressing concrete matters for his debuts on 39 Rec, delivering five trancyprog dancefloor ready cuts.

Starting the menu with a hot and juicy pho 777,  you will have to go through the energized Trance Gate to reach the initial version of the Concrete Matters. You’ll then enter an endless argument with Germain CLS trying to determine the best opinion to stand for on the matters. Once realizing there won’t be any pose on the argument you’ll understand why the Pho was so Phychedelicious and maybe start the concrete process again.

Germain CLS, active member of the French collective Hors Sol, assisted Gaspero on the mixdown of this EP. He has signed it with an intense club-oriented version of the EP’s eponym track Concrette Matters.

As the track version’s name suggests, Germain CLS no pose remix won’t let you any chance to rest with a modern trance approach and psyche vocals which are a good reflection of Hors Sol universe.

● Moebius (Nikunj Patel) is a music producer based in Mumbai. His work is a blend of manipulated samples and swingy beats that draws inspiration from Lo-fi HipHop, House and UK-garage. Explorations in Rhythm and Movement are the central aspect of his music, subliminally informed by his profession as an Animator and Graphic Artist. His music has been featured on platforms like BBC Asian Network, Worldwide.fm, source radio and fairly regularly on Indian online radio channel, Boxout.fm. He has also worked as a composer and sound designer on various film and animation projects.

"This is the debut release from DJ and producer DJ FRESH. The year 2023 has been a highly productive one, during which DJ FRESH introduced his new sound inspired by the rave culture of the 90s, focusing primarily on techno, trance, and acid vibes. In order to capture the same sounds of that era, DJ FRESH opted for a production approach centered around the use of drum machines and synthesizers, recording live sessions directly onto a Tascam DA3000, completely avoiding the use of a computer even in post-editing. The result is a 10-track album, including a remix by his colleague and friend Human Trax. The intention was to evoke the same energy and spontaneity typical of 90s productions. Some of the tracks from this debut album may also be released on vinyl by the end of the year."

J-CARDS is the alias of genre-fluid producer/songwriter Thijs van der Klugt, whose work drifts between roles and disciplines like flipping sides on a mixtape. Producer, songwriter, sound collagist — always shifting, never settling.

The name is a gentle nod to cassette culture: the J-card, that folded insert where handwritten tracklists, liner notes, and forgotten artwork live. For J-CARDS, it's a metaphor — for music made in fragments, for creative work that resists categorization, and for the hands-on intimacy of the creative process in a digital age.

Influenced by the soundtracks of a 90s childhood — from watching cartoons on dusty VHS tapes to crackling 12" jungle and rave records, and video game menus — J-CARDS weaves those textures into something new. The result is music that feels both distant and familiar — beat-driven, melodic, worn, and quietly cinematic.

A quiet galaxy made of songs he almost erased, but never quite could.
