Sounds Of Lava Lava : ''After almost 10 years of broadcasting on Glasgow’s Subcity Radio, Lava Lava founder Michael Divers has teamed up with Rob Etherson to form Sounds of Lava Lava; a record label to showcase a diverse range of talent from the wide spectrum of the House genre.

Sounds of Lava Lava launches this March with a perfect inaugural EP and opening statement from Parisian DJ & Producer Blazers. Since his first EP on F*CLR in 2018 Blazers has been going from strength to strength, clocking up acclaimed releases on Nymphony, GLBDOM & Skint. The Parisian continues this fine run of form with his 4-track Between The Lines EP, each track showing off a different side of Blazers’ style and influences.

The EP opens with Sounds From The Waves. Bright pads, soft drums and a hypnotic bassline lead to a gorgeous vocal which draws you in & floats throughout the track. Crowd Echoes follows up with a playful and irresistibly uplifting groove. This anthemic House cut sounds like something you’d find on Young Marco’s Italian Dream House compilation series. Sensations holds nothing back as it opens with punchy drums and sharp keys. Once the bass hits you’ll easily lose yourself to this infectious and energetic future Disco floor-filler. Finally the title track Between The Lines rounds off the EP and sounds like a gem found while crate digging at your favourite record store. A real US-inspired Deep House cut with clean percussion, airy piano hooks and a chunky bassline.''

Blur Records is proud to present the debut of Irish DJ and Producer - Tree Threes - who delivers a superb 5-track EP entitled "Our House" featuring 5 remixes by the outstanding producers Henrik Villard, Henna Onna, Manuel Kane, Max Caesar & Sune.

Born & raised in Cork, Ireland, Tree Threes is known for his distinctive sound, ranging from House to Broken Beat, inspired by fellow Cork natives Fish Go Deep & the British Broken-Beat scene.

The now London-based producer, who has released a flurry of tracks and EPs on some of the most prestigious house labels on the planet, has now dropped a wonderful 5-track EP with us entitled "Our House" and as a celebration, we decided to invite close friends of the label and some of the hottest producers in the scene at the moment: the Norwegian producer Henrik Villard, Armenian wunderkind Henna Onna, the Greek prolific artist Manuel Kane, the German upcoming talent Max Caesar and the Swedish Honey Butter label boss Sune.

Tree Threes delivers a superbly well-composed EP of understated House music, with the remixers taking it to another level with their quirky and slick reinterpretations of the originals, in what promises to be one of our most successful releases so far.

Scopic Records - a new UK label which aims to "bring newcomers and artists with backgrounds, regardless of their background or gender" - launches with a single by its founder New Digital Fidelity in collaboration with singer Monet.

We get three nicely different mixes of 'Getting Colder' in all. The A-side is taken up by the club mix, a classic New York deep house groove with chunky piano chords and Monet's confident vocal performance. The flip begins with the original, a slower version but still effortlessly groovy, bringing its soul, jazz, and R&B influences to the fore. US techno's man of the moment Byron the Aquarius completes the set by turning the track inside out with shuffling hats, snapping machine funk snares and a bubbling bass, making it even more impressive by exposing its moving parts and giving them a neat polish.

Getting Colder

Underground System returns to Razor-N-Tape with the ‘Looking In EP’ - a 5-track offering of fresh originals and remixes. Ranging from low-slung Balearic grooves, to driving left-field funk and urgent up-tempo backbeats, the record is a fine-tuning of the US sound, complete with their signature flute and synth soundscapes, driving percussion, and catchy offbeat vocal hooks. On the B-side, RNT mainstays Nenor and Clive From Accounts take two of the tunes into clubbier territory, with a pair of remixes that are primed for the dance floor.

Following the success of Holo’s groove-driven debut Atlas EP, he’s back with another dreamy 3-tracker on Lost Palms.

Drawing from pop, classic rock, acid and 90’s hip hop, he has managed to hone a truly idiosyncratic sound which at once is recognisable and takes you by surprise. The aptly-named Technicolour EP demonstrates the Melbourne producer’s prowess in creating rich, warm, chromatic soundscapes which are downtempo but pack plenty of body. Following the shuffly house number ‘Juniper’, reverberating chords and MPC
claps define ‘Shosa’ before the balearic-tinged ‘Try’ leaves a sweet taste in our mouths via acid melodies and airy pads.
