After seven years since his last release, label CEO Mr Assister makes a long-overdue return to beam. Across four tracks, including a remix from close friend of the label, al dente, the EP explores the rhythmic and psychoactive spaces between techno, tek haus, and minimal psy. Opening the EP, ‘Braised’ juxtaposes two sensibilities, situating playful grooves amid droning, disaffected atmospheres. ‘Communing’ builds on the rolling templates of psychedelic trance, with swarms of glitched-out percussion and pads that reveal traces of melancholia. In ‘Broken Through’, four-four kicks dip their toes into streams of acid, reflecting textures of technological breakdown. Rounding off the EP, al dente reimagines ‘Braised’ via his signature brand of warping swamp-tek.

Step into the lush, verdant depths of Shjva's sonic jungle—an enchanted forest pulsing with ultra-absorbing dub techno, glitchy rhythms, and deep, hyper-textured grooves. We’ve been impressed by her incredible releases on People & Places and Warning, among others, and now, her latest EP on our label takes that boundary-pushing energy even further. The rising Ukrainian force is joined by Jeku, who flips the script with a mind-bending trip to Goa mix, catapulting the journey into a dreamlike, transportive realm.

Shjva - The Message EP (ND026)

Priori’s hit EP Pareidolia gets a well deserved remix treatment. The relation between Priori and Midgar started early 2023 with the release of his Pareidolia EP, where a remix for Keplrr followed quickly the year after. Now, early 2025, a group of close friends and admired artists were invited to rework the Pareidolia’s originals.

Midgar affiliate Forest Drive West uses the opportunity to present not one but two remixes. Presenting one half-time 85 bpm twist of Hazard and another slow-paced murky techno groover. Originally from Montreal, Maara forms the Canadian connection and she turns Memory Palace into a beautiful bouncy dub-techno floater. Sound experimentalist Notte Infinita takes his turn on Pareidolia’s title track and creates some magnificent eyes-closed drum & bass hypnotism. At last, Amsterdam’s upsammy brings back the light with her iconic playful approach. She flips the steady groove of Glass Shards into a jumpy interplay of rhythms and joy.

Pure Space presents Cell, the latest EP from Eora (Sydney)-based artist Pannotia - a producer sculpting intricate sonic ecosystems through dense, evolving synthesis. Inspired by microbiological processes, Cell pulses with organic mutation, where rhythm and texture shift like an evolving biocrust.

Written between Gadigal Land (Petersham) and London (2023–2025), the EP reflects a deep fascination with unseen worlds - microbial communities thriving in extreme conditions, reacting to their environments in ways both alien and familiar.

Across four tracks, Pannotia explores a spectrum of tempos and moods, from the swampy and viscous to the clinical and mechanical. The EP opens with the title track "Cell", a dense and hypnotic techno cut whose constantly evolving nature keeps you locked in. "Life Cycle" follows, a track driven by grinding lead synths and steady percussion that propels forward with restless motion. "Biozone" takes a more organic approach, mirroring ecological systems in constant flux.

Closing out the EP, "Tessellate" emerges as a doof-ready anthem, featuring the voice of Cyano in her musical debut - delivering a spoken exploration of microscopic landscapes. For good measure, a Dub Mix strips things back while maintaining the energy.

A contemporary snapshot of Pannotia’s sonic evolution, Cell is a dark, trippy, and ever-shifting ecosystem; alive with movement, modulation, and mutation.
