The basic structure of the track works, the way it unfolds makes sense and the story is continuously evolving. It would be very easy to integrate into a dj set. In terms of mixing, the track sounds a little muted, as if there was a wet towel hanging over the speakers. It misses transparency and sparkle in the top end and feels overloaded in the mid frequencies. These things could be fixed in 5 minutes on a good sound system with just an EQ. A slightly punchier (but still round) kickdrum would give the track a stronger backbone. Easy fix: sample a kick from a track that sounds ace, that's what I do. As it is, this is a good filler track or tool. These are useful. If you want to take this sound more into hit territory you need a hook, a memorable sound that makes the track stand out more. But probably that wasn't your artistic intention. But to change your game you need to give it a little extra. The starting point is really solid and shows understanding of the dancefloor. Thank you!

Techno & House are what you will mostly encounter during a Bomb Dylan throw down. Drawing inspiration from artists like Thomas Gandey, Radio Slave, Hermanez and Nick Curly. More recently artists like Breaka, Ivy Lab & Holloway have also been finding their way into his sets.

Having been deeply immersed in electronic music for 20+ years, the list of appearances are in the hundreds. His most recent highlights; the Buddha Head at Rhythm & Alps and some amazing Main Stage slots at Twisted Frequency festival and Shipwrecked festival. Also, the honour of sharing stages with the likes of Denis Cruz, Out Of Sorts, Sanoi, Josh Butler & Chaos in the CBD. 2020 saw him self-release a handful of his own music, a track on the Trans-Tasman label Beat & Path and a remix for the Bolivian label Subliminal Senses.

Growing up on a solid diet of 80’s post punk, bands like Joy Division, New Order & The Cure were his early inspirations. This led into grunge and new wave punk, eventually discovering 90’s dance music courtesy of his friendly neighbour John Usher. The ever consistent RDU played a big part too, shows like Scientific, P3 and The Rhythm Zone were instrumental in his musical growth.

Currently residing in Christchurch NZ, Bomb can be found in his sleep-out studio producing house & techno most days. This year he’s working on a couple of remixes, a couple of self-releases on his own Bomb Dylan records and some custom merch. The bookings are rolling in and it's looking to be another busy year.
