BLJ: "The groove on ‘Put Some Love’ hooked me straight away, those vocals and smooth guitar lines really caught my ear. I wanted to channel that energy into an 80s-inspired boogie funk direction; bright, bouncy, and full of synth lines. I’d been listening to a lot of Jafunk at the time, so that influence definitely crept in. This remix is my way of giving the original a fresh new shine."

Joining forces for their collaborative debut on Bombstrikes, Kenny Beeper and SwinINC have delivered a full-throttle Bass Funk track in the form of 'Do It Likes This'. Already well established with a string of chart successes to his name, Kenny Beeper certainly isn’t new to the label. Here though he is joined by fellow Australian SwinINC who together have smashed shows with some of the scene's biggest names including Opiuo and Krafty Kuts.

The vibrant electronic flavours of ‘Do It Like This’ hit hard, with the bass-heavy instrumentation being driven along perfectly by Everyman’s rawkus flow, combining Hip Hop elements with guitars, synth, and driving percussion which makes for a perfect blend to trouble sound systems.

'Freed From Desire' is Nat Tate's cover of a dance anthem featuring Waldo's Gift and Yolanda Quartey (AKA Yola, fresh from playing Sister Rosetta in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis movie), reworked into future funk classic by Boca 45. Guitar riffs and rolling beats dance alongside one hell of a vocal performance from Yolanda. Delivering an interpretation with such gravitas that it feels like it could actually be the original.

Dutch Nu Disco masters @kraaksmaak are back with a devastating new single on @Bombstrikes as a taster for them hosting the next 'Disco Funkin' compilation. It's the fifth in what has become a brilliant series and follows on from superb entries from Birdee, Shaka Loves You, Flevans and Natasha Kitty Katt.

The new single is a serious bit of club kit, 'Get Live Get Down' is a no messing about straight to the dancefloor slice of disco house. It packs in everything from Moroder-esque groove to driving keys, energy soaked strings, percussive loops and funky as hell vocal stabs.

As a promo for the album it's a real statement track which may surprise some of Kraak & Smaak's followers with it's delicious hands-in-the-air energy.

We absolutely love it and we've had a sneak peak at the album and you should definitely be excited too.

Washington D.C. funksters Fort Knox Five deliver their take on 'Strut', one of the standout tracks from X-Ray Ted's album. As you would expect with DC's finest at the helm, this one doesn't disappoint. Stripping things back while staying true to the vintage R&B vibes of the original, Fort Knox Five flip the track from rolling breaks into a 4/4 funk stomper, perfectly walking the line between dancefloor heaviness and keeping the funk alive. Set against the grinding funk rhythm section are infectious horns and a soul-drenched vocal hook, delivering a command that must be obeyed.

FK5: "I was immediately drawn to 'Strut' — the soul-stomping chants and killer horns really pulled me in. I wanted to build on those elements and inject my remix with some serious oomph, building it around heavy-hitting beats and a Daft Punk-inspired driving bassline. Get on down and do this thing!"

For the second single from the upcoming Joints N Jams compilation, Shaka Loves You have teamed up with Nat Tate to deliver a lovingly crafted rework of a stone-cold classic: It's Alright, I Feel It. Paying respectful homage to the original by Nu Yorican Soul (a Masters At Work project), the track is transformed into a soulful disco-house jam, driven by an ever-evolving, organ-led groove with rich string and horn flourishes adding serious dancefloor depth. Yolanda Quartey, better known as the four-time Grammy-nominated Yola, steps in on vocals, delivering a raw, soulful performance that cuts through with real weight, no gimmicks, just class. All in all, a respectful reimagining with proper crate appeal.

The aptly named "Hacienda Funk" Ep is the Niceguys at their forward thinking best, pushing funk sounds into a new direction all of their own. The levels of musicality are there for all to see, while still retaining all the ingredients required to rock a dance floor. Up first, "That Ass" sounds and feels like the title track of an original 70's movie. Whilst over on the flip, the latin flavours of "Valley Hacienda" would not sound out of place playing for sunset at Cafe Mambo in Ibiza, but still holds on to the funk. Two tracks that shouldn't work together on an ep, but full credit the duo's incredible musical ability, and production skills for merging these two sounds together so perfectly. The Two tracks delivered here will keep those summer vibes hanging on for a while longer. Let the sun shine on!

After the original mix gaining much love and support right across the board including plays on BBC 6 music, this remix is a welcome addition to the 'Boogie' package. Rising Star of the scene WBBL adds his unique style of Bass and Funk into the melting pot with his take of the already classic Shaka Loves You track. WBBL instantly transforms this into a festival ready battle weapon for the summer, adding his insanely high-level production and a good dose of bass to Fullee Love's (aka Soup from Jurassic 5) smooth vocals. The remix was something of a passion project for WBBL. After hearing and loving the original mix from the Shaka guys, he approached them directly asking for the parts, so he could make his own interpretation as an exclusive version for his sets, but now you can your hands on this tried and tested cut!

Russian master of all things bass funk ElectroGorilla deliver something of a monster on Bombstrikes records. 'Loves Me' will grab you with its infectious vocal hook before dropping things down low with some serious bottom end. It's not hard to understand why this has been doing so much damage, this is no nonsense dance floor weaponry at its best. As if that wasn't enough, the lead track is supported by the grooved out electronic bliss of 'Milky Way'. Enjoy!

ElectroGorilla - Love Me

Founded in 2004, the simple principal was delivering the funk with engaging music that always rocks the dance floors, regardless of genre. Started by two of the label's key artists, Mooqee & Beatvandals, each release had to be a bomb! This ethos continued throughout the initial vinyl based volume series and as the label evolved alongside the changing digital landscape, helping to develop a global funk and mid tempo scene along the way.

It's crazy to think how much the label has grown and now works with artists and partners from around the globe. Alongside individual artist releases Bombstrike is also home to the much loved Funk n' Beats, Disco Funkin' and Bass Funk compilation series, with guest curators helping the listener discover new music or unearth forgotten classics.
