HKPP - Beating The Crates in association with Ghetto Funk 23-11-13

After the release of the epic Paul Sitter album: Hip-Hop Delivery in 2023 &ndash; it was only natural to call upon some of the best remixers in our scene to put their twist on these timeless originals. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is proud to introduce the vol. 1 out of 2 upcoming remixes package featuring a large range of styles from various corners of the electronic funk music scene.
Starting out with a true legend All Good Funk Alliance, who has taken the Go Move track featuring Andy Copper for a funky joy ride though some classic breaks and funky grooves. Followed by a big atmospheric redo of Global Chemistry by Mined Music who&rsquo;s taken a melodic hiphop twist on the otherwise oldskool original. The funky supersonic beat force Sonale came in on point as he turns the King Of Rock into his own on a beat and bass heavy funky remix. Freethinker Funk Essence takes a more chillout approach on one of the more instrumental track on the album called Nothing Gonna Change His Way.Roast Beatz takes it back on the floor with the dance friendly funky house remix of the Go Move&nbsp;featuring&nbsp;Andy Cooper on some classic disco funk grooves.Finally we see UK-based Towlie DJ taking the wicked B-Boy Impressions on a funky Drum &lsquo;N&rsquo; Bass ride to firmly conclude the first volume of the Hip Hop Delivery remixes. After the original mix gaining much love and support right across the board including plays on BBC 6 music, this remix is a welcome addition to the 'Boogie' package. Rising Star of the scene WBBL adds his unique style of Bass and Funk into the melting pot with his take of the already classic Shaka Loves You track. WBBL instantly transforms this into a festival ready battle weapon for the summer, adding his insanely high-level production and a good dose of bass to Fullee Love's (aka Soup from Jurassic 5) smooth vocals. The remix was something of a passion project for WBBL. Glasgow funksters Shaka Loves You are riding high right now. Their monstrous single 'Boogie' alongside former Jurassic 5 member Fullee Love (aka Soup) has taken on a life of its own with many labelling it their track of the year. If you add to that their no.1 selling 'Disco Funkin'' compilation, they have set themselves quite a tough act to follow musically. However the new single 'Tonight' manages to deliver the goods and shows just how fast they are developing the Shaka Loves You sound. This time the duo have engaged the vocal talents of Amunda, lead singer from the band Bossy Love, who like SLY themselves are firm favourites with funk aficionado Craig Charles. Amunda's infectious vocal glides delightfully with the guitar hooks and heart-warming keys and the resulting track evokes elements of the Brand New Heavies at the their finest, which in our books is no bad thing. As if that wasn't enough, the boys also deliver the aptly titled 'Disco Weapon', which has been tried and tested in the SLY dj sets this summer and is a total dance floor destroying disco stomper.

Founded in 2004, the simple principal was delivering the funk with engaging music that always rocks the dance floors, regardless of genre. Started by two of the label's key artists, Mooqee & Beatvandals, each release had to be a bomb! This ethos continued throughout the initial vinyl based volume series and as the label evolved alongside the changing digital landscape, helping to develop a global funk and mid tempo scene along the way.

It's crazy to think how much the label has grown and now works with artists and partners from around the globe. Alongside individual artist releases Bombstrike is also home to the much loved Funk n' Beats, Disco Funkin' and Bass Funk compilation series, with guest curators helping the listener discover new music or unearth forgotten classics.
