This is the first Shambhala mix I have ever done after all the years I have played this amazing Festival. Every time I have performed I've come away with countless memories & great moments. This year was exceptional, with DJ Premier, Jazzy Jeff, Skratch Bastid, The Gaff, Chali 2na & Cut Chemist, A.Skillz, Slynk, Fort Knox 5, Q Dup on a Saturday night. I have created the mix exactly how it was performed as  it was not recorded live. Big thanks to Rich E Rich for having me once again, I truly had the most incredible weekend. Shaka Loves You: 'Sweat on Ya Body' reflects the experiences we had on our festival tour last year. With more opportunities to perform on larger stages, later in the evening, and generally more up-tempo sets, we sought to capture the energy of those moments in this track. The inspiration behind the song stems from the vibrant dance floors, electrifying festival stages, and awe-inspiring DJs we encountered during the Summer, particularly after the long hiatus brought on by the pandemic. Though the vibe on 'Sweat' differs slightly from our previous releases, it still embodies the essence of our live performances. Judging by the reactions we have had to our early road testing, it seems people are really connecting with this one.

Dutch Nu Disco masters @kraaksmaak are back with a devastating new single on @Bombstrikes as a taster for them hosting the next 'Disco Funkin' compilation. It's the fifth in what has become a brilliant series and follows on from superb entries from Birdee, Shaka Loves You, Flevans and Natasha Kitty Katt.

The new single is a serious bit of club kit, 'Get Live Get Down' is a no messing about straight to the dancefloor slice of disco house. It packs in everything from Moroder-esque groove to driving keys, energy soaked strings, percussive loops and funky as hell vocal stabs.

As a promo for the album it's a real statement track which may surprise some of Kraak & Smaak's followers with it's delicious hands-in-the-air energy.

We absolutely love it and we've had a sneak peak at the album and you should definitely be excited too.

2023 was very much a year that vocalists/ songwriters started to cement their names at the forefront of releases rather than being stuck in the background behind the producer. One of the key artists who is at the forefront of this positive change is Suki Soul. She is a producer, vocalist, DJ and stellar writer who in 2023 was behind a stream of brilliant releases with Dr Packer, Birdee, Yam Who? &amp; Da Lukas.

Suki's latest track, which has just landed via the always on point Bombstrikes, sees her team up with long-time partner Leroy and between them they have delivered a production masterclass. Bringing in a roster of incredible musicians including drum virtuoso Derrick McKenzie (Jamiroquai) and percussion maestro Russ Tarley (Incognito) 'Right Back At ya' is a delicious blend of high energy funk-fuelled 70's disco with just a touch of 80's boogie alongside a mountain of 2024 production nous. 

This is a song which will set dancefloors alight across the globe and still has more than enough left over for repeat home listens, such is the quality of the writing and production.

Founded in 2004, the simple principal was delivering the funk with engaging music that always rocks the dance floors, regardless of genre. Started by two of the label's key artists, Mooqee & Beatvandals, each release had to be a bomb! This ethos continued throughout the initial vinyl based volume series and as the label evolved alongside the changing digital landscape, helping to develop a global funk and mid tempo scene along the way.

It's crazy to think how much the label has grown and now works with artists and partners from around the globe. Alongside individual artist releases Bombstrike is also home to the much loved Funk n' Beats, Disco Funkin' and Bass Funk compilation series, with guest curators helping the listener discover new music or unearth forgotten classics.
