𝓢𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓮, the free rider of breaks has just opened the doors again to our office at 𝙱𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚋𝚎𝚊𝚝 𝙿𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚎 𝚁𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 - and we've got even two solid tunes arriving from him this time! Therefore, we was thinking it would be time to give away two free downloads in this December episode of our ℙ𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝔽𝕣𝕖𝕖 𝔻𝕠𝕨𝕟𝕝𝕠𝕒𝕕 series. 

Keeping us all funky as usually, 𝓢𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓮 makes sure that the groove is in our heart... the tune called "𝐺𝑟𝑜𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝐼𝑠 𝐼𝑛" takes the original club classic and transfers it to a brand new dimension with a unique, chopped arrangement and happy, wobbly, fat bass-line... Meanwhile, the track namely "𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐼𝑠 𝐴 𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑦" treats the original with respect and is being measured with crushing drums, crunchy bass and extra musical elements like some added saxophone-action topping the vibes. 

The man working from South Africa, had quite productive a year so far. Having done and participated in several releases on 𝙱𝙱𝙿, 𝓢𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓮 had been finding the time to deliver suiting songs on several independent music labels in 2023. We are happy to announce our collaboration keeps on working with him in 2024 as well. Watch this space, 𝓢𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓮 is one of those artists worth being looked upon!

Welcome to the Good Love symphony of Cosmic Yum! This is a delicious collaboration of musicians and producers, spanning time, space and sound, for the enjoyment of all beings! 

This original cosmic journey begins with a big bang of ideas that travelled through many dimensions with genuine intentions of love and goodness before discovering the vocal bliss of Nada- Leigh Nasser. The original was launched featuring the groove frequencies of Captain Vibe on bass and guitar and complimented by Bongo Loco and Timewarp inc on keys. 

Travelling to a nearby star, the original was embellished and remixed by Omegaman, transforming the track into a multiverse of doof dub reggae. Folding the fabric of sound, Tom Drummond masterfully recomposes the track with a lush tropical pan drum funk remix. The track then traverses to the planet of Jayl Funk, who lays down his quantum funky breakbeat remix to get fingers snapping and toes tapping. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Mind Electric's club disco remix is waiting to launch...

The funk flows through tunes like "Bring The Heat" or "Go" having breezy funky guitar licks and vocal-samples in proper use. While the rest of the EP leans towards the disco edge of things with songs like "Disco Fever" or the title tune "Have Faith"; both of them featuring Sully Sax on live saxophone instrumentation.

The last few years have seen The Niceguys in prodigious form, redefining their sound through an acclaimed musical output. Now they take time to reflect by inviting some of their favourite artists to reinterpret their work for this 'Remixed EP'. First up, production duo CMC & Silenta reimagine 'Strip It'. They skilfully preserve its funk-laden goodness injecting new life into the mix with tantalizing guitar licks, irresistible synth hooks and a beefed-up bottom end that serves as the perfect foundation for the soul-laden vocals of Bobby Saint and smooth flow of Prop Dylan. Funk Maestro Jayl Funk takes to the controls for his rework of 'Don't Let Go' in which he takes the tempo down a little, adds some horn hooks and a swinging grove to bring out the best from Justina Lee Brown's amazing vocal performance, creating a nu-funk masterpiece. Next up, Jack & Jointz toughen up the infectious 'Dance' adding breakbeat elements and organ riffs to drive along Leo's neo-soul vocals, aiming squarely at the dancefloor. Finally, rounding off the package is the classic remix of Irie by Flevans. He strips things back before building them up with a high level of musicality in a groove-heavy remix that is equally at home in a club or home listening. All in all a perfect way to round up The Niceguy's releases to date whilst we wait with anticipation for the next phase of their musical journey.

FAAM - Monster Booty

Founded in 2004, the simple principal was delivering the funk with engaging music that always rocks the dance floors, regardless of genre. Started by two of the label's key artists, Mooqee & Beatvandals, each release had to be a bomb! This ethos continued throughout the initial vinyl based volume series and as the label evolved alongside the changing digital landscape, helping to develop a global funk and mid tempo scene along the way.

It's crazy to think how much the label has grown and now works with artists and partners from around the globe. Alongside individual artist releases Bombstrike is also home to the much loved Funk n' Beats, Disco Funkin' and Bass Funk compilation series, with guest curators helping the listener discover new music or unearth forgotten classics.

 

We continue to push things forward with everything we do, whether it is releases, festival stages or club nights....We always do it with our same founding ideals and will continue to do what we do best. Watch this space.
