Born Danny Ward in Manchester, UK, he was give his “Moodymanc” moniker by his 2020 Vision Recordings cohorts whilst producing for them as part of 2020 Soundsystem. His interest in music began when he started drumming aged 14, learning jazz, afro-cuban and latin percussion. A few years later he began to land gigs with bands and percussion sets in various clubs alongside DJs and and bands, becoming a regular at Back to Basics in Leeds. He then began producing as Dubble D, dropping first album Reachin’ Out – a ground breaking mix of diverse musical sounds: Hip hop, Latin, House, Techno, Reggae and Jazz.
