There's no doubt that Benzi is one of the most triumphant and prolific DJs on earth and a true master of the mixtape. Both his Girl Trapz and Get Right Radio series have achieved worldwide acclaim and praise from both fans and his contemporaries. There's no producer who wouldn't benefit from having their music showcased in the finely crafted and produced mixes. But that's not all that makes Benzi such a force in the world of electronic music, and verily, music in general. He's half of well known duo TWRK, with eSenTRIK and they racked up millions of streams with releases on Mad Decent and Capitol Records. BENZI then became the first resident DJ on Diplo & Friends on BBC Radio 1 and helmed his own show #BANGUERS with BENZI' that ran on Sirius/XM for three years. In recent times BENZI can be found looking to take over the music industry from the inside. He launched Parametric Records under the umbrella of Atlantic/APG and saw instant success with a string of big singles released all in the span of two years. This lead him to his current position at Steve Aoki’s DIM MAK Records where he serves as the main tastemaker and A&R.

Hi everyone welcome my name is Mathew, just a quick introduction about me. Born in Phoenix, AZ I grew up with a love for music at first it was music like The Used, From first to last, chiodos, etc. As I got a little older in life I was introduced to electronic dance music by one of my favorite singers Sonny Moore with his whole Skrillex project. I immediately fell in love with what I was hearing and started listening to it all the time. At first I didn’t think of music production or the whole DJ aspect of it because it was like early 2010 and I was like 11 or 12 years old. But it didn’t take long to discover how he was making the music he was putting out or how he was performing in front of strangers. But through YouTube in the early 2010’s I would watch his videos of live performances or interviews of Skrillex to hopefully learn what and how to do the things I was hearing and seeing. That’s when I learned about music production on a computer and the concept of being a DJ and so I was hooked. I started going to guitar center with my dad whenever he was going to get something he wanted so I could play around in the DJ section of the store and self teach myself. And eventually at around the age of 12 or 13 I got my first laptop and DJ controller to use at home and practice and play for as long as I wanted. I will say I took a break from DJing and music production during my time in high school to make sure I was going to graduate while maintaining a part time job but never forgot about my dream career as a music producer and DJ. About a year after I graduated from high school I managed to get my hands on a new DJ controller and picked up where I left off after a 5 or 6 year break or hiatus. And eventually I was able to get a solid laptop to hop back into music producing I believe this was in 2020 and have been consistently honing my music production skills since and here we are today with a solid number of releases on my personal SoundCloud account here and will continue to push my sound to as many ears as possible.
