International Feel launched their minialbum series late last year and second in line was CFCF with ‘On Vacation’ which many hailed as one of the finest of 2016 so far. As ever we asked a few people we like to do some versions.

Pharaohs come from LA and blend Liston Smith vibes in a modern electronic context. They have released music on ESP Institute and 100% Silk. Their take on ‘Pleasure Centre’ is a bongo driven ride with acoustic guitars and jazz infused flute harmonics. It’s a lovely thing.

CFCF himself takes on ‘Fleurs laissés dans un taxi’ in a beautiful balearic style. Super mellow with sweet guitar in a classic Pat Metheny style brings out the melody with the pads & syncopated drums and percussion rolling away in the background.

Apiento takes the chance to reedit ‘Chasing’ which was one of our favourites from the label. A little dub and an extension is all it takes to let this one breathe for a little longer.

After a sell out first EP on Optimo Music, MR TC follows it up with EP 2, "Surf & Destroy" four more tracks of analogue plus live instruments delirium. MR TC has been taking his live show (which involves a four-piece band) out on the road to great acclaim. His music and DJ sets encompass Leftfield Disco, Tropical Oddity, House and Techno whilst channelling the spirit of a youth spent playing in psychedelic rock bands in Luxembourg, listening to krautrock and worshipping Lou Reed and David Bowie. This is just the beginning…

It is with some delight that we are able to bring you an exclusive premiere of the next EP from Ransom Note Records. 

First recorded in 1983 under the name Visual, Boyd Jarvis's cut The Music Got Me is one of the first true house records. A staple on the 80s New York club scene, the visionary instrumental dub was played everywhere from the Paradise Garage to Zanzibar, dance-floors packing to it's mix of throbbing bass and wooshes of analogue synth magic. 

At Ransom Note we've long been obsessed with the record, so when House Hunting's Aiden D'Araujo interviewed Boyd - and found out that we could license it - we jumped at the chance. 

Now, we present The Music Got You sounding bigger and better than ever before. Remastered from Boyd's original tapes by Keith Tenniswood at Curved Studios, The Music Got Me is pressed on limited edition, heavyweight vinyl for clarity and bass pressure. 

The EP comes with two remixes from Bawrut, and Dan Idjut/ Nick The Record.
