Great clear vox (nice add of the high notes too), and great mix of the acoustic and clean lead guitar. Good production as well.

This song is old but i never posted the finished track with backing vocals and a solo guitar...

The first song on the album Extrication Songs. The songs lyrics has many meanings, even for me as a writer, but please write a comment about what you think. For me its about a journey. a process. partly about my own father. to put your guard down and/or put your guns down. Everything falls down eventually so be humble, open and free the mind from preconceptions.

New indie-folk-rock from Västerås, Sweden. Sleep Today Away is the second single release from Hawk and the wilds upcoming debut album Extrication Songs that will be released in october 2016. 
Hawk and the Wild is a singer/songwriter and folk, rock och pop musician whos real name is Jimmy Wiltfalk. He lives in Västerås, 100km west of Stockholm, since 2003 and has been active in different projects at the local music scene for several years. He loves the creative process of writing music and while not scribbling on a new song hes riding some kind of board or speaking for human rights. A commitment he drew attention too with the antiracist social media charity project and single “The dream is still alive” that was released as musicvideo on youtube and also for streaming on spotify/itunes. The song have been in first place on the Swedish independent chart and the musicvideo have had great success in Germany, France and England

As a singer/songwriter he write all music and lyrics while also recording it in his own homestudio. The sound is based around acoustic instruments with a mix of emotional lyrics and catcy melodies. Hawk and the wild plays most live sets alone as a one man band but he is sometimes accompanied by his friends.

Sleep Today Away

Hawk and the wilds debut album Extrication Songs was released 2016 with a release tour in sweden. Now other musicians and producers have taken interest in his music resulting in new fresh remixes. First the EDM mixing skills from ELOW, an 18 year old wizkid from South-Africa. Then  also the country remix of the song Colour by swedish drummer and producer Marko Vaunuveräjä.

This is a song I wrote about struggle in one's own head. The "trees" represent barriers in our own mind. Although originally written about struggles in relationships, it can also be interpreted as the struggle within yourself.
