BEHIND THE DRUMS

Polat started exploring his ability to create music at the young age of seven. Rapping his fingers on any surface he could get his hands on including kitchen tables, the family sofa, the front door, and even his fathers belly. He would also chatter his teeth together to create different beats. It got so annoying that his father decided to buy Polat his first set of drums at seven years old.He is the only musical one in his family and their support has meant the world to him. At the age of 14 Polat worked in night clubs as a valet attendant. He desperately wanted to get his foot in the door and be surrounded by like minded people who love creating music. At 15, he started bar tending and at 16 he was a respected DJ and percussionist, playing for crowds of up to 45,000 people all over Europe before settling down in Toronto in 2008. He has played along side of budding artists such as Adrien King DJ X, Hardwell,Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, David Guetta,Nicky Romero,Afrojack, Deadmau5, Daft Punk,Dada life to name a few.At 19 he expanded his musical talent and played the Alto Saxophone. This is something he still plays today. Polat has developed a unique style, blending Middle Eastern rhythms with European tribal house music.
