These mixes were specifically made for sore legs and tired minds, helping punters to take a moment away from it all throughout the weekend. Big thanks to the Floorless crew for the opportunity, it was truly one of the most fulfilling experiences we've had at an event. 

The magic of the tent wouldn't have been nearly as good without the amazing light installation by Metic, who leveled things up in a serious way with his Ripples II installation - something we'll never forget.

Un épisode qui fait nid dans sa tête, pour penser à ce qui n'est pas là, à venir ou à passer. Pour disparaître en contemplation. Habiter le vague où notre regard se pose. 'The thing I love most about ambient music is how it means a different thing to different people. To me, it's music that evokes emotion away from the dancefloor. Whether it's beatless, euphoric, chuggy or dark, being free from the usual confines of keeping people moving allows for a different kind of journey. Lean into this expertly-curated chillout soundscape in the safe hands of duo and married couple Cyndi and Chris aka the Handson Family. Fiercely proud of their South London heritages, they have always leaned into uplifting and representing their community with an unwavering commitment to platforming Black British music. This mix features some of their favourite tracks, drawn from over two decades of deep love for and knowledge of downtempo music.

They say “It's a bit of a shame that the art of chillout has all but vanished from most venue spaces - so we're truly grateful to Sauna Social Club for giving us the opportunity to bring these sounds to life in such a beautiful setting.”

Handson Family | Ambient Sauna | May 25

On a hazy summer's evening in July, BONSE1 took up residence in the corner of Sauna Social Club, delivering 4 hours of music stretching across ambient, vocal-driven downtempo, dub techno and more. Diving through tempos, moods and textures, Robek and Shokunin soundtracked the space beautifully. Enjoy.

Producer extraordinaire and sonic explorer Adam Pits graced the Sauna in late Spring with this other-wordly mix that we've had on repeat ever since. Adam's mix evokes feelings best described using his own beautiful and poetic words: 

"Floating. Suspended by waves of sonic bliss reverberating to the heartbeat of the universe. As the never-ending thoughts dim, the soul grows, knowing that the present moment is all that matters. And in that knowing, the warm embrace of all that is good takes root."

Podcast 13 and the first of the new year comes from Leeds based Will Davies aka Analyst.

Honing his craft with a more laid back approach in a recent LS6 Cafe residency and being a regular customer at the fantastic Tribe Records, Will is really coming into his own with a variation of genres and a passion for unearthing a large range of electronic music. This mix represents his deeper and grittier taste of electro and acid.

This is our first vinyl only mix of the series and it's a belter. Tracks inside from 'E.R.P', 'Lou Karsh' and 'Abby Echiverri'.

Since we enjoyed Analyst's last podcast for us so much, it was only right for us to invite him on again to show us the Flipside of his collection!

Usually found playing much quicker electro and club ready tunes, he has provided us with a great mix of "non-club music" (as he describes it), that he enjoys listening to on night time drives or in the early hours after the club. Textured ambient, digi dub and trippy IDM throughout for a melodic and also interesting listen.

"Hi I’m Will Davies and I go by the name of Analyst. I am London-based and Leeds born and I currently host a show called ‘Depolarise with Will’ on Vandelay Radio which is on the 4th Tuesday of each month. My taste has been heavily influenced and informed by Tribe Records in Leeds (big ups the best record shop in the world) and I owe a lot to them for helping me build my collection of music.

This mix was recorded solely on vinyl and represents a good number of techno styles from broken UK, 4x4, dub, deep and experimental. Listen out for some older familiar dancefloor rippers as well as some more recent favourites."
