Hello my friends !

One time a year & just before the summer, i choosed to give you another set from Chez Raspoutine in Paris. It's only one time a Year, and it's made especially for our Holidays. 

Between all recordings, i choosed A 5 Hours Set (01h-6h), Recorded live from the club, during the night of Saturday 4th May 2013. If you always asked yourself what this club sounds like, why you have heard about so many things ... why this madness :

Brooklyn-based label @razor-n-tape have maintained a certain prolificness over the last few years that has raised them to royalty status in the disco game. The imprint's formula is simple: straight-up, party-rocking edits for their RnT Edits line, and more house-leaning deep grooves for their Reserve sublabel. In the latest entry in the Edits series, we have a tasty little EP from Ron Bacardi, which is the disco and house alias of London-based techno hotshot @ben-sims.

On the flip comes our premiere for today, "Let The Music Play". Again, Mr. Bacardi brings the uptempo disco feel.  The edit focuses in on the more mesmerizing aspects of the original; with repeating funky riffs, a big time bassline, and a soaring synthesizer looping and layering to great effect.

“Expectations” is an extended player from minimalist disco outfit Harvey Sutherland and Bermuda. The second release for Sutherland’s own Clarity Recordings brings his Bermuda project into sharp focus - six tracks spanning Harvey’s influences from the West Coast to West End Records. 

Recorded with bandmates Graeme Pogson (drums) and Tamil Rogeon (electric strings), Expectations follows last year’s stomping label debut single “Priestess/Bravado”. 

The EP includes a long-awaited studio version of live favourite “Clarity”, uptempo burner “Coast 2 Coast” and a moment of spiritual introspection with “Spiders”. The title track offers glimmers of the Doobies and the ‘Dan – a sign of things to come from the Melbourne producer and his unique trio. 

Expectations 12” and digital will be released worldwide 24 March 2017, via Clarity Recordings. Distributed by Monocarpic (AUS/NZ) and Above Board Distribution (ROW).

For their first release of 2017, the Parisian crew digged harder than ever to propose edits still in the spirit of the afterparty they organize. 

The EP is composed by four tracks, finely picked and slightly edited by the DJ’s of the crew. They cover a wide range of genres, from french boogie to cosmic disco through west indies or new-wave influenced lyrics. There is definitely something for all tastes on this EP.

Brooklyn’s @sonofsound joins hometown label Razor-N-Tape with The Dusty Files EP, a 4-tracker that embodies the gritty and driving sound of the borough. The A-side kicks off with Your Voodo’s Broken, a track that builds to mid-tempo looped perfection even before the floor-shaking bass drops, followed by the beguiling synth patterns and efficient yet driving drums of No Bullets Left. On the flip side, Nude Jerzee eschews the bridges and tunnels and takes us straight to NJ by way of outer space, and then What Do You Feel floats us gently back to earth on a cloud of strings, electric pianos and a chugging disco beat.
